Okay, so I’m a part of a 4-H team that competes in Horse-bowl, which is basically jeopardy on horses with buzzers that tests teams of 4-5 players on their knowledge of horses. Questions can range from ancestry, breed organizations, barns, insurance, conformation, tack, etc (basically everything is fair game).

In any case, my team and I visited the Kentucky Horse Park and saw a picture of a four horse hitch that had the horses lined up next to each other and the outermost horses on either side had their heads tied around to the outside whereas the two middle horses had their heads facing forward. Can anybody tell me what kind of hitch this is and why the horse’s heads are tied to the side? Thanks loads.

I have always given my puppy her heartworm preventative medication. If I miss it this month, will it harm her? Thank you in advance

I don’t know if it matters or not, but I’m in the United States. I’m moving to Europe soon and in order for me to bring her with me, I have to get her vaccinations before I move. So what are the neccessary shots that she needs and what are the common costs? What I’m asking for is a price range and just the names of the shots and what they’re for.

Non-Profit Hospitals must achieve a 1%-2% operating margin to be able to reinvest in capital. Medicare and Medicaid pay roughly 75% of what it costs to care for patients. This is made up by private insurances paying above cost to offset this shortfall. If private insurance is to go away or become less of a hospitals business then they cannot upgrade equipment or invest in technology. Then people will cry that they cannot MRI’s,PET scans or other high end tests – when the truth is Hospitals will not be able to afford to invest in the machines… If you are for Obama care then you have no right to complain when the quality drops.

I live in Illinois and I’m opening a dog bakery online that sells homemade dog treats. I need to know if there are any regulations or inspections I have to go through, and if I have to get a license for this.
If so, what kind of license to I need, how do I get it, etc?

Recently my uncle adopted a dog from this lady in the apartment complex he works in. Problem is, the lady never had papers for the 1 yr old puppy and so I can’t take him to the groomer.. I was wondering how I can get him licensed? .. I’m not sure if thats what needs to be done, but help! I want this to be officially our dog .

We’ve had the carpets shampooed in the entire house, washed all of our sheets, and clothes, and sprayed the house down with cleaners multiple times. In fact, the maids are here right now cleaning the entire condo. We’ve also disinfected all of the areas she spent a lot of her time, including the balcony, and got to all the hard to reach places like under the couch and beds. I’ve also got air purifiers running in the living room and my bedroom. From my understanding distemper is killed by heat, most detergents, and cleaners.

This time I’ve contacted local breeders and think I’ve found the pup I want. The question is should I bring her home? If so, when, and how?

Luckily my 1 1/2 year old male doxie Tucker is not showing any symptoms and we’re very hopeful that he wont get sick (he has been correctly vaccinated since he was a pup). However, I’m very concerned about bringing another pup home and exposing them to distemper somehow.

We’ve replaced or cleaned all toys, bedding, and bowls.

I think I have Lyme Disease. How is the treatment? Will I be ok since I have detected it on the first day? To all you people who have had Lyme Disease, does the person recover or is it a chronic disease?

I would like to know which is a better top quality Grain-Free dry cat food. Comparing Solid Gold Indigo Moon, or Timber wolf Serengeti.
My cat been eating Merrick BG before grain chicken # 1 dry food. I feel there must be others as I mentioned that I have been reading the labels on these two particular brands. Could I ask if any one out there has tried these, & give me some good information or suggestions? My cat is in general good health 5 yrs. old indoor moderately active at 10.8 lbs. My vet says Grain-Free is good for my cat as she sometimes has a bit of Feline Acne which has improved form feeding her Grain-Free foods. Thanks for your help.
