I am asking because I dont want to buy dog license here (deadline is today), if I am moving in a month or so. He is a tiny Chihuahua, so he wont be outside in this weather to run away or be caught without license. Just dont wanna waste the money and then waste it again. Casper, my animals have always been fully vetted, and license have always been bought. Im not spending 25 dollars to license an indoor pup who doesnt even pee outside (he uses a training pad or litter box) for 1 month. Not irresponsible, but I do not throw my money around frivelously either. The main reason I’m not willing to support this local Dog Warden is because I have been cited not once but twice, with dog at large when I hadn’t even had a dog in over 3 years! My neighbor has 14 dogs, when she lets them out to go, they go everywhere! My neighbor on the other side called on me because she thought they were mine. There is much more to this story…. but thats neither here nor there. Not irresponsible, but not supporting a system that doesn’t support me!

My male cat is 8 months old and I need to get him fixed ASAP because he started spraying two days ago. Do you know what shots that are a absolutle must before the humain socirty will nuter him?
Is horse insurance like any other insurance? I know it only spans for a year so can i simply renew it after the year has finished or do i have to find another insurer? Any ideas of relatively good/cheap insurers in the UK would be good too.

I have a very strong affection and compassion for animals, and enjoy every moment I am with them. I know it is ALOT of time, money and studying, but I am looking for someone that is a veterinarian. My cat has been diagnosed by my local vet with HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy). He is a hybrid cat, an F4A Savannah. I would like to take him to a cardiologist, hopefully one that was familiar with the breed, to confirm (or un-confirm) the diagnosis. I’ve tried looking online, but haven’t found much.
I live in north central IL and would like to find a good one as close as possible to keep the stress down for my cat.
I have heard that the university of IL was very good, and I may go that route if I can’t find a cardiologist closer to home.
Hi, I am 60 yrs old and have, what I think, are some real severe health problems. I am short of breath most of the time and get chest pains when I do any steady type of work or exercise. Like a lot of people in the country I do not have health insurance because of the cost. I have worked like a dog since I was 14 yrs old, raised a family, paid my taxes and all the other stuff that a good American Citizen should do. Lets say my name is Smith, the first is David and I have what was used to be blond hair. Well, I guess down to the question- when I ask for some type of help (not a hand out) why is it that I get turned away like I were some type of a monstrous, no-good murderer? My neighbors down the street go to the emergency room at least twice a month because one of their (6) kids has a sniffle and they come home and tell me that it’s FREE, I should try it!! WHY??
My cat was vomitting like crazy and after I took him to the vet, my vet told me that my cat has feline leukemia…. I don’t want to lose my cat ( he has lost a lot of weight this last 2 weeks and is having difficult time breathing) I was research on the web and one of the treatment I saw was using aloe vera. Can anyone tell me can I give him aloe vera juice (from fresh aloe vera) and how much to give? (he is only 1.5 yr old…. he was 4.5kg) he is very weak now, not moving too much and don’t want to eat…. I am giving him cat milk (from the bottle using a medine dropper) what other thing I can give me to help him feel better/ strengthen him?
I’m confused. My male puppy is 8 mos old and my female puppy is 8 wks old. He won’t share any of his toys or bones with her and every time she gets a toy, he takes it from her. Even when I buy them identical toys bones or snacks, and give him one first, he will go hide his and then take hers. I bought a fluffy pink bed and he takes it from her and lays in it even though he has three other beds of his own. But, when I tell them it is time to eat, he just watches her eat or walks away and lets her eat first. Does anyone know why? I thought the Alpha dog always ate first. Also, is it possible to teach him to share his toys? I have tried telling him that this one is his and that one is hers. It only works while I am watching them. He will let her have it for a minute, but if I walk away, he will take it from her. It’s like he only plays nice when Mom’s watching.
I have a german shepherd, with the normal over-protective character. How do I inroduce him to the new pets,without getting any of them hurt?
I’m interested in getting a pet, but I’m having a little trouble picking one. I want a pet that I could play with, and that is preferably smart. I’m not too interested in dogs or cats. I’ve considered a ferret, but in addition to the yearly expenses in vaccinations, I just don’t know if I’d be able to play with them hours a day and ferret proof my house.
I have 2 cats and it seams the older they get the more they shed. I do have 1 long-haired cat and he’s shedding bad right now. I did buy one of those combs that was "As Seen On TV" and it works good, but I sat there for an hour, and I had to clean the comb out at every stroke. I need something like really heavy duty. Anyone have one they love? Thank you!
