Every time we get my dog a new bed, toy, rope etc. he eats it. Dog beds aren’t very cheap either for a dog his size. What can I do to make him stop?

Say if a purebreed Main Coon bred with a mixed breed and that mixed breed bred with a different mixed breed. Would there be a possibility for the grandchild to look nearly alike a Main Coon even though it isn’t one?

2 questions about feline leukemia.?

We found a stray cat 3 days ago. It had watery brown discharge slowly coming out of one eye. Other than that, the cat seemed healthy.

Today, we took the cat to the vet for a checkup. The cat was positive for feline leukemia and was euthanised.

Two questions:

1. After they did the leukemia test, I noticed that both front legs were totally dry. Where else could they have taken the blood sample from if they did not take it from the front legs?

2. Why did they not offer to do a second leukemia test to make sure the first test was not a false positive?
They showed me the test device. It had 2 blue dots…. one for control…. one for positive leukemia, and one more for positive FIV (which did not turn blue)

Aside from actual costs to manage a medical facility, the invention of insurance has generated additional costs that have nothing to do with treating or preventing illness/childbirth.
Health care fees has become grossly inflated with expenses that have nothing to do with actual health: Cost of insurance coverage added to salaries and our taxes to cover national leaders completely: salaries and benefit packages for non-medical CEO and CFO’s and other personnel such as employees that specialize in filling out medical forms, applying for benefits, filing all the information, collections of payments; insurance company pays for fraud investigators, employees to find technicalities to not pay benefits, their CEO and CFO and all other employees.
My elderly dog needed jaw surgery: half was removed and it was wired. She stayed at the clinic getting IV fluid and medications for four days. Her bill was 5 (including tax and medications brought home). Had this been my mom, the hospital would be investigating the possibility of getting her home somehow in addition to charging her insurance, and any others she is eligible for them to sign up for, charging initially more than ,000.00.
Did you know that national health care plans written by non medical politicians have clauses that require us to not work for eligibility? ie: ADAP will pay health care for those with HIV as long as their household income does not exceed 200% national poverty level. ADAP also guarentees high profits for drugs and tx therefore one cannot afford it out of pocket so they must stop working to also be eligible for social benefits to be eligible for ADAP benefits!

Democrats are sticking to their plan designed by Jacob Hacker which is a Single-Payer Trojan Horse…

Do you support handing over all your healthcare autonomy to an omnipotent federal bureacracy like they have done in canada and Britain:

Look at how UK’s NHS ran a muck once it achieved the absolute authority over the lives of every middle class family:

How junior doctors are signing ‘do not resuscitate’ forms for dying patients

“If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.”
Thomas Jefferson

Do Democrats consider critics who fear that a government-run insurance option might ultimately eliminate all private insurance choices and lead to a single-payer healthcare system that empowers a huge federal bureaucracy with an extraordinary power over the lives of every middle class family—-the kind of power that our forefathers warned about ever giving our federal government?

For the past 5 months, we’ve been feeding 2 cute cats. They show up twice a day for meals and otherwise roam around the neighborhood. We’d like to see them adopted into nice homes and have contacted several no-kill shelters in the Atlanta, GA area. They seem to prefer that cats (and all other animals) are vaccinated and neutered prior to being turned in to the shelter. We, on the other hand, believe that the person who wants to adopt that pet should be the one vaccinating and neutering the pet. Our responsibility is to make sure the animals get safely to a good shelter. The adoptive family’s responsibility is to take on all the aspects of the pet’s care and maintenance, starting with vaccinations and neutering.
Thanks to everyone for sharing your opinion!

In response to "xoxo Pets": We have a house cat that we love. She’s a member of our family, and we provide her with all the medical attention and care she needs. Her vaccinations alone ran over 0. It doesn’t seem fair or logical to spend the same amount of money on a basically stray animal. As far as donations to a shelter, they might be necesary for the shelter but are of no relevance to us.

I’m a senior in high school and I’m stuck between two career paths: Veterinarian and French Teacher. I’ve always LOVED French and im really good at learning Foreign Languages. I also want to travel with my job. But, I love animals ALOT. I always pictured myself being a Veterinarian, but the downside is the amount of schooling and the difficulty of getting into Vet school. I have a 3.88 GPA but only a 23 on the ACT. Which career path should I choose?
