Is it okay to use a floor cushion pillow as a dog bed for my Frenchie?
What’s the difference between a human floor cushion pillow and a dog bed, that looks the same? Is the polyester filling bad for dogs?

I’ve had this circular rash on my leg for months. Lately, I’ve noticed that it’s stretching out, but the color is fading. Unlike lyme disease, There’s not a red spot inside of the circle. What is it?!
I’m applying for a rental unit that said they would consider small pets. I have a cat and only want a place that will allow me to bring him.
Do you think it’s a smart idea to include a small "resume" type thing with our rental application? I wrote one up really quick and included a picture of him, his age, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, trimmed and filed claws and I also explained that he’s been living with my mother in law for the past 3 months and she would be more than happy to serve as an alternate reference for him.
Do you think that’s good?
oh and I also mentioned in there that we will NOT be acquiring any more pets and that coming from a family with allergies I’m a real stickler about vacuuming and cleaning weekly.
Because I wore some black Girbaud shorts to my cousins house and he has a cat, so when I was sitting down his cat jumped on top of me and got cat hair all over my shorts. How can I get the hair out?
I always use Fresh Step-sand litter, but I brought Breeze Scoop Away Litter system, the pellets are hard .
Do you think this is uncomofortable on a cats feet ? maybe hurts?
I know for myself walking on sand feels nicer than walking on pellets
i cant find it anywhere.and i need to know.thank u
im sure they have a list of the fine fees somewhere online.i need help finding them.
I know a couple who are on welfare. They get foodstamps. They get Wic. They get energy assistance, so they don’t have an electric bill. They live in government housing, and they don’t have to pay rent. The man works a job getting paid under the table in cash. He doesn’t get a pay check so the housing office thinks he is unemployed, and they don’t charge them for rent. The woman stays at home with their child, but i wouldn’t consider her a full time mom, considering the house is always dirty (i mean nasty). She pretty much sits on her butt all day. She is no "Soccer Mom" or "PTA Mom" if you know what i mean. Now this couple that i am talking about, drive a brand new 2007 PT cruiser. They buy steak and shrimp for dinner. They wouldn’t be a bit worried if they found out she was pregnant again. They go out to parties, and drink every week. They have cable, but only because their neighbor has cable (get it?). They have an Xbox and the latest games. They live in a two bedroom town house, and don’t seem to have many worries, except whether or not they sent in the paper work to get more help from the state. Oh and the woman and child both have free health insurance through the state. And everything health wise is completely paid for in full. Even the Perscriptions.
Now on the flip side, I struggle for everything i have. I work a full time job and commute to work 40 min to and from every day. I pay all my bills. The electric bill, the water bill, the trash bill, the morgage, the cable internet and phone bill, and car insurance. I own my car, and thats kinda nice. i dont have to make payments. But when its all said and done, i can only afford to buy food thats on sale, and if there is nothing on sale when i go shopping its top ramen noodles and mac and cheese for everyone! I never go out. I can’t afford to. I can’t even afford to save a little money on the side, small outing like the movies. I never drink. And i can appreciate a good beer every once in a while, but again can’t afford it. I would take my dog to the vet before i would go to the hospital, because i don’t have health insurance, and when the dog is sick i could never punish her for that. But a vet visit would put me in debt with someone else. I can’t even afford a christmas tree this year, as much as i love christmas. I am even thinking about calling my family and telling them not to get me anything, because i can’t afford to get them anything this year. And I am not complaining. I appreciate what i have. I know it is hard for alot of people, and some are way worse then me. But here is my argument……
The couple i was speaking of gets all this help from the state, even though Both of them are completely capable of working. And here i am paying taxes to help the government help them. I want to have a family some day to you know. I cant wait to have my own children. The closest i ever get is babysitting someone else’s child for a little extra cash. Why should I have to pay so they can have everything that i want and more? Why should I have to wait to start a family due to finances? They have everything I have and more but here i am, going to work everyday, so i can come home and worry about which bill is going to be due before i get my paycheck, and how long i can wait before i pay it.
And what do you think is going to happen to that couple’s child. I think they are setting the stage for that child to grow up and be on welfare to. Children mimic their parents actions. A child who grows up in a lazy family is likely to be lazy also. And with that being said, do you think the reason welfare is overwelmingly popular has anything to do with the fact that every person on welfare raises a child to be on welfare as an adult? And would it be fair to make "getting your tubes tied after having two children" a stipulation of recieving welfare? That way people who take advantage of the system can’t create more people that take advantage of the system.
Okay this is really long i am going to stop now. Solve my welfare crisis and i’ll rate you best answer. Funny, Serious, Depressing, Angry.. I am looking forward to reading all your responses. Thanx
I love dogs. In my home country, in the "poorer" parts (imagine a place where people primarily ride bicycles around, wear sandals instead of proper shoes and don’t bother to lock doors at night), there are many dogs running around. Some are stray but MOST belong to someone.
These dogs are given the freedom to run around the whole town and they never eat proper dog food (kibbles, canned etc.) They only eat scraps and leftovers from human meals.
The dogs have NO distinct breed. Because of their running around, they have become so mixed it’s impossible to tell their breed (but they are generally LABRADOR size).
My question is: Why are these dogs, with very poor living conditions, so strong? My grandmother’s dog lived to be ~16 (believe it or not) and he died from old age. Never once did he take medication to prevent heart worms or fleas or hook worms or any type of worm. He just ran around, ate scraps and rubbish and lived life. Occasionally, my grandpa would pick the ticks off the dog and that’ll be it.
Why do our pets get so sick easily? We spend heaps every month on quality kibble, worry about this and that, vaccinations, pills etc. And they only live to be 10 -14 or so (on average).

I’m buying a house that is 100% tile floor. What is the best way to keep up with the cat and dog hair? Does anyone know of a good vacuum that works especially well? Or should I get one of those long skinny mops that you see janitors using in hallways in schools and other such places?
Hello to all you cat experts! I have a 10 month old black kitten who, while having a little extra padding, is quite fit, healthy, and responsive with a good appetite. He would pant occasionally over the last 5 months after periods of strenuous play, for a minute or so after stopping the activity. Lately this has been occurring more frequently but it has also been VERY hot in our brick apartment with no AC (though we did just get a fan and will be installing a large AC unit at the end of the month).
I looked panting in cats up online and was alarmed about the possible health problems listed. Particularly as we lost a small kitten to a rare form of anemia just prior to adopting the kitty love in question. My partner and I were devastated by this loss and I’m very worried that our current friend might have a similar terminal defect. I called the vet and he said very few cats pant, and it could be an indication of a serious underlying problem. He also said it is possible that for our cat it is perfectly fine, or something he will grow out of. My boyfriend, who has a lot more feline experience than I do, has seen quite a few otherwise healthy cats who panted after exertion.
I have been extremely worried about my little kee. I would very much appreciate any insight from those with cat panting experience on either end of the spectrum!
I live in North Carolina and I’m interested in becoming a Veterinarian Tech. I have no experience in this field, so I’m not even sure where to start… I have found an online program with Penn Foster but I’m not sure how that works. With it being online would a Veterinarian consider that as good enough or would on site classes be better?
