I adopted a 1½ year old Male cat who has been fixed and declawed already, I am not sure if he has ever had his shots, I would like to get his shots up to date but don’t want to double shot him, Is there anyway the vet could tell if he has had his shots and which ones will be needed? Also any other reccomendations on any other shots I should get him?

Today I took my 14 week old kitten to get his shots, and they gave him what they called a "3 in 1 cat shot". I don’t know why, but I didn’t even bother to ask what three things were included in this one shot. I googled it and found absolutely nothing, so if anyone can help it would be verrrry appreciated. I can get all of this Rabies, 4-in-1, FeLV, FeLV Test and FIV Test for 60 bucks. I thought that it would be more expensive then that, and I’m told it usually is at a vet. So, is it not a good deal because they don’t use as much anesthesia? Why so cheap? Do I still need to go to the vet before hand for a check up or anything before they can give me the shots? Or anything else like that?

Does anyone know where in the dfw area, I can get my cat free vaccinations and / or neutered? I’m low income and I know the spca has discounted rates, and but I just wanted to see if there was anyplace free in my area. (I live in irving, but I am willing to drive)

Besides the rabies vaccine, is it really necessary to buy every vaccination the vet offers? I am bringing 2 cats to the vet today and it’s going to be expensive to get 6 shots for each of them. They include:
Rabies
F. Leukemia
Distemper
Calici-Panleukopenia
Chlamydia
F. Rhinotrachetis

I also have a dog that I will be bringing to the vet in a couple of weeks and more shots to buy!
P.S.- My cats are 6 and 15 years old.

We went to the vet yesterday and got my 2 kitties vaccinated for rabies distemper and leukemia.
One of the kitties is really sore, his doesn’t want to walk and won’t let me touch his leg. I will take him to the vet tomorrow morning, but i’m really worried…is this normal after the vaccinations?????
