Dog insurance: Best insurers you have had!?

1. Where is the best place to get dog insurance?
2. Are they reliable?
3. When it says they’ll pay 8,000 a year, is it really true?
4. How exactly does the insurance work?
5. My dog may be pregnant, will they still insure her?
6. Do they insure to people under 18? I’ll be 18 March 26th this month, but by then if she is pregnant, she’ll be 1/3 of the way through it. Earlier the better in my opinion.

I want to ensure that my dog gets the best possible treatment, and her and the pups come out healthy. This was unplanned, a dog broke in through my window while she was in heat 3/1, but I’m not aborting her & I’m a responsible dog owner, willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the best possible health, including spending thousands at the vet. I have quite a savings, but it’d be nice to have insurance to keep some of those savings for grad school.

If you just want to yell at me for being 17 and breeding dogs, don’t bother. Trust me, I know all of the horrors out there. I know that "I’m contributing to dogs in shelters". I’m not trying to make an easy buck and I’ve done quite a bit of research. The adopted puppies owners will sign a contract stating that the puppies will come back to me if they ever get rid of them for any reason and I will vaccinate them before letting people adopt them. When I know for sure (on the 22nd of this month when I have the ultrasound done), I’m contacting a local breeder to pay him to help me with the entire process, to be my "breeding mentor". I’m not irresponsible. I’m a sophomore in college and have lived on my own for two years, as well as having worked consistently since I was 14. I just don’t believe in abortions. And the reason she wasn’t spayed is very complicated and does not have to do with finances. This all has nothing to do with my question, it’s just sort of a disclaimer. Answer my insurance questions, don’t tell me what to do with my dog is basically what I’m trying to say.

Thanks!

Ben Nelson had a price for his vote and the Democrats gave him it. The price was to take out of the Health care bill the piece that says they would no longer let insurance companies be exempt from the Anti-trust laws? Now why would that make any sense. I asked Senator Nelson myself to see what his answer would be and he(his office) said it helps his state? How does it help Nebraska? Could it have anything to do with his former job as an executive at a Big Insurance Co? How many of you think this so called blue dog is helping the people of Nebraska or helping his former employers? Does anyone know how this would possible benefit anyone other than the insurance companies? I will give him the benefit of the doubt if someone can explain this to me?

As a general rule, are the Democrats who are closer to the Republicans out to help big insurance rather than the working men and women or is Ben Nelson an exception? Should Democrats make him pay a price for his behavior?

I am trying to find a good insurance for my two dogs and trying to find a plan that is not a reimbursement plan. I am also looking for something that covers breeding issues that may arise and also routine exams and vaccinations. Anyone have a good plan that they are on?

of the money they receive from insurance companies or their past employment with these companies?

1) Cost: The Democrats were able to cut the cost of the bill by 0 billion over ten years. Much of the savings will come from shaving low income subsidies.

2) Small Businesses: The Blue Dogs also wanted to change the requirements on small businesses. Those businesses with a payroll of 0,000 or less will be exempt from the requirements

3) Public Option: Some in Congress worry that a government program will be unfair because doctors may be tied to the Medicare fee structure. The change in the plan will allow the Secretary of Health and Human Services negotiate rates for the public option.

4) State Co-ops: The party leaders also agreed to allow for optional state health care co-operatives in addition to a government run health insurance plan (public option).

What pet insurance do you use for your dog and what does it cover? Can you give me the link for it. Also what medication do you use monthly (do you use it monthly or weekly) for heart worm, fleas, ticks, and etc. Also explain what health problems this package covers, and do you have a link for this site also? Please and thank you.

Also I last time I forgot to mention I live in SO. CALIFORNIA, so something available that ships over here. Last time I got this incredible answer, to bad it only delivered to residences in Canada.
*The medication because it makes sure they don’t have/or get fleas, ticks, and heartworms. Or am I thinking about this backwards?
I don’t think we have much ticks around here if I think about it, but we have worms, not A LOT but just enough to get your dog sick.
KiKi: No. The insurance will not cover already existing health problems. But if you got the insurance (one that fits your needs, look through different ones or get referrals) before it would have covered most of it. I advise you to get one before something else rises up.

Our son was born with a congenital condition that has wreaked havoc on every system in his body. He is now almost 20 and for the second time in his life, had to have braces in prep for jaw surgery. Because our son would not give his dad the "total respect" he literally DEMANDED (our son told his dad "respect is earned and you haven’t earned it"), his dad cut him off financially. This kid has had braces for for the last three years for the second time in preparation for surgery to alleviate TMJ and an underbite. Now there is no health insurance for his adrenal insufficiency or surgery, no tuition, no child support. Our son is a fulltime college student, so he can’t work fulltime. I can’t afford tuition or health insurance on my own. I couldn’t even afford a lawyer to fight the b*****d. My son is devastated. I can’t rest until the dog gets his due. What can I do to get revenge that won’t land me in jail? I will NOT DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL. Any help?

Hi this is a question for those of you who have health insurance for your dogs.

There is 2 plans one that covers up to 00 a year and one that covers up to 10,000 a year

Seriously which did you choose and why? What is the MOST you ever had to spend at the vet for your dog in ONE year? I have always been SO lucky…aside from routine dog stuff I have never had a major injury in any of my dogs requiring treatment KNOCK ON WOOD!

Now this plan would cover MVD…if a dog would be diagnosed with MVD what would be the cost of treatment? Does anyone know or have a dog with MVD they could share experiences? Again, I being a Cavalier breeder, have been fortunate enough to have never seen this.

I am still laughing….I live is SUCH a rural place that canine health insurance is NEVER seen until lately. Something I am considering for my new pup who is a Cavalier, of course. She will be a dog that I plan to show and currently has some pts earned with her breeder. (she is 9mos old) I recently purchased her from a great breeder and I am exploring my options as far as health insurance for her to try it out and see how it works for us in the long run. The breeder offers 3 free months so we will continue it and I figure as long as we have it I may as well make sure I have enough coverage for ANYTHING that may happen.
Yes, I know my pup…glued to me and minds extremely well the first time as do all my dogs

I am also extremely familiar with this breed as I have dedicated the last few years of my life to bettering this breed. I know my bloodlines well and I chose this particular dog based on well know bloodlines that are heart healthy with no SM in the bloodlines. However…this is my first time insuring a dog and as long as I am paying for insurance I figure I may as well have a plan that is capable of covering the unlikely should it happen…if that makes sense.

The dog catcher came into my yard today and told me why I did not have my dog vaccinated. In truth I don’t but I give my dog natural medicines plus she also gets vitamins instead of government approved vaccines. He gave me a warning but the dude look so menacing and had a police badge and look like he could sucker me into several of hundred of dollars in B.S. shots and fines. Its just sad

What the chances of my dog being insured?

I need a little help. I’m considering buying health insurance for one of my dogs. In the past 4 years, she has racked up to AT LEAST ,000 in emergency vet bills. She has broken two of her legs, swallowed foreign objects, eaten snail poisoning, and has had not one but two tumors removed from her.

Just wondering:
-what are the chances of my dog being insured?
-What is the process of making a claim with a pet health insurance?
-Will I be charged anymore?
-Any good pet insurance you know that will accept my dog, without an extremely high costing claim?
It’s not a matter of if my dog will get injured again, it’s a matter of when.

insurance. They will spend so much money on cat and dog food but not on health insurance. I gather if you get ill in America the care you get from your fellow citizens will be the complaints from the smell of your rotting body.
so if you are in the working poor or you lose your job you feel you should be abandoned? How much is spent directly or indirectly on dogs and cats?
Apparently some feel health care should not be a basic right because it is a basic need. Apparently they like their dogs but their neighbors/ well apparently he can drop dead. Is this part of why the damage after the huurican in Loiusianna is still there? Its sad. But the insurance companies must be thrilled.

Hey…just woke up from amnesia. 57 years old…still working…can get 1000 a month from past (secure) retirement plan…will bump my wife and I up to…75 thousand a year…I dont know…

1)Does that make us in a new tax bracket? and
2)Should I go ahead and get that money…because even if the retirement amount goes up a little each year…what really is the point in waiting, even if I have to pay 300 a month in taxes on it?
3)Can I slip it into some investment that is tax-deferred?

Own a house…no savings…no nothing…a couple of used cars…a nice dog…health insurance…ping pong table…
Thanks!
