My family adopted a cat from a shelter. Shes only a kitten, around five months old. When we adopted her, the people at the shelter gave us a small bag of cat food, which I’m assuming is healthy. The problem is, she doesn’t like it. She refuses to eat it unless shes desperate for food. My mom bought meow mix and she started eating a LOT more often. But I’ve been told that, meow mix is poor as far,as the quality of the food goes. Whats a cat food that is good for her that she will like?

I saw a couple of posts on here ages ago about it being a scam, and now I am curious about the subject so I thought I would ask.
I agree with needing to save up big time if you don’t have insurance. It’s been 2,000 dollars in the last 3 months. I’m cashing in savings bonds to pay!
My dog is very small but she is not a puppy anymore.

If so where and how can I get one? I am 19 years old(20 in november). I love animals and have lots of spare time as a part time college student; tips, suggestions, and advice would be great. I would like to have a small Dog walking business to make money for school and also help people who can’t walk their dogs(the elderly for example) as much as they should be walked for a cheap price. Thanks for reading this.

My pitbull currently eats a certain kind of dry dog food. That said, I want to switch my dogs food to a more organic and higher quality dry dog food.
What is the proper routine/process to introduce the new dry food and how long is the process/routine?

I’m getting my Golden Retriever neutered at 6 months old. Is there anything that I shouldn’t let him do afterward? How long will it take for him to heal up?

I just recently gotten dog and I have very little experience with dogs. I absolutely love my dog, but she needs obedience training. I can’t really afford training classes, so I was hoping to find a good book. Any recommendations or tips?

I have a 5 year-old male cat who is a mixed breed. Recently I’ve had to take him to the vet because he had a blockage of struvite crystals in his urethra. The total amount I spent on him came to about 00. The vet said this could happen again. There is no way I can pay that much again. I’ll be paying off that amount for the next year.
I was looking into pet insurance and found a company that looked pretty promising. The only thing is that I don’t know what would count preexistingting condition. I don’t think this would count because there’s only a *chance* that it’ll happen again. The site says insurance would cover recurring illnesses, but I don’t know how to determine recurring from preexisting.
If anyone knows more about pet insurance or has any advice whatsoever in regards to pet insurance and pet care, let me know.

My one year old maltese needs some training in some areas, and I wanted to try to train him myself instead of behavior classes because they are SO expensive. What are some good books that helped you or that you know of? Also, what is a good way to socialize my dog, besides the training classes, if any? He barks and growls at other dogs and sometimes people.

My 7 puppies just had their first vaccinations at 8 weeks. A breeder bought the shots and squeezed their neck and injected the 8 in 1. No rabies shot yet. Why is there a lump on every dog? Is this painful to my puppies?

My male cat (just recently adopted from shelter) is neutered but humping a toy and getting an erection (or as my 6-year-old described it: "Look, he has a big red ninny!") Anyway, how is it that a castrated male can still get it up? I was always told no balls, no erection. Just like the eunuchs in "History of the World Part I". Anyone?
(And please don’t compare it to a man, because most men have vasectomies… NOT the same as castration.)

I have four cats, one has a sensitive stomach (throwing up anything that is not the vet brand sensitive stomach formula) and one that has stress issues that causes him to stop using the litter box and is on Urinary SO to help fight the accumulation of crystals. It gets expensive to have to buy two different cat foods and I wanted to know if there was one food out there that would cover both issues.
