How long does it take for Feline Herpes Symptons to go away?

My poor 6 month old kitten "Tangerine" has feline herpes. I have been giving him Lysine twice a day orally and Zithromax once a day orally and Terramycin twice a day for his eye. I have been giving him these for about 5 – 6 days now and I am not seeing much improvement. What is the average time period on when the symptons dissapear?
All answers are welcome and are appreciated.
Thanks!

Feline herpes virus, or Rhinotracheitis as it is more commonly known, is a common respiratory virus. It is very contagious. It sounds like your vet is treating appropriately. It is important to make sure he is eating and drinking well, as dehyration is a complication. It usally runs it’s course in 7-10 days, unless there is also secondary bacterial infection. They usually recover well. Possible complications can be chronic sneezing and nasal discharge and eye problems. Just make sure your vet gives him a clean bill of health before stopping medications.
Wow i read the question and thought you got the feline herpes …. Awkward……. anyway if it doesnt clear up in about a month id say see a vet … i mean make the cat see the vet……
