The normal vaccums do not get down into the rug very well. I need one that can really get it all up out of my rug. There a few new vacs made just for this problem….anyone know which is the best?

Rainbow brand. Hyla would be even better.
Hi My friends has a Dyson dc15 that she swears by as she has two dogs and two cats in the house.
Kenmore does great for us
This month’s Consumer Reports magazine had a review of different vacuums. They tested over 60 models and determined that the Kenmore Progressive model 35922 at $300 was best on the market. However a Hoover Tempo Widepath u5140-900 was listed 6th and only costs $60. The Kenmore rated 75 points overall and the Hoover was 66points. The Kenmore did rate higher for pet hair though.
Hope this helps. Go by you local bookstore and check out the magazine, that way you can see everyone that was tested.
DYSON. IT IS THE BEST
Hi
I work for a carpet cleaning business, so we have to deal with pet hairs on a daily basis.
There are two things to remember, firstly you should get a machine that has an adequate filter, as pet hairs and dander can attribute to allergy’s, and you will be bowing this dust into the air if the filter is not good.
Secondly is how often you use the machine, most areas of a house where a dog spends time need to be vacuumed on a daily basis.
In answer to your question, if you use it often enough most machines will do a good job.I would suggest the Dyson DC14 & DC15 Animal.
