Don’t we owe it to Animals/pet, since we are the likley cause of their injury or Condition?

I think that it would be a good thing.
There is hundreds of thousands of dollars just sitting in dead accounts that would make this possible.
not until america gets universal health care… if the humans were covered first i would consider it
Against it. They get fed for free. Taxes – that is me paying for your pet, since I have none.
NO NO NO
Enough is enough
you are so right. i really hate that some people blame it all on the pets! ugh!!!!! hear me out! i really wish pets would be treated properly these days.
I feel this way about this, when the leaders of the USA make sure all people have health care including myself, whom is ineligible for it due to past surgery’s.
I love my animals, but I wont pay extra taxes to support others that don’t take care of their animals as well as I do, you know the mistreated ones. so to answer in two words HELL NO
I’m sure I’m going to hear a lot of flack about this, but severely injured animals are already euthanized at the government expenses in shelters across the country. Volunteers, donations, and tax dollars already pay to help find homeless pets homes. Shelters run off these funds provide vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and sometimes heartworm treatment or preventive.
Having a pet is a luxury. The only animals that should be covered with a tax funded health policy are animals kept in zoos, working dogs (police and military working dogs), and possibly service animals (seeing eye dogs). Service dogs owners can already claim their dog’s expenses (medical, training, equipment, food) as a tax deduction if they itemize.
As far as broad spectrum health coverage for pets. No, not until every citizen in their country (the US for me) has access to medical insurance that they can afford. I live in fear of getting injured or sick because I don’t have health insurance for myself. I hope my pets never need more than what I have saved up for them, but luckily, their bill at the vet is usually less than an hospital visit for me.
I’d be for an amount going towards feral animal care.
I’d be against paying vet costs of private owners. You shouldn’t have a pet you can’t afford to take care of.
well unlike humans animals are a choice not a product of our creation so that should be the responsibility of the human that makes the choice of indulgence with the animal
I do agree. The price of just taking your pet to the vets can be stupidly expensive… of course so can Our health care but there is no need to have to pay well into the hundreds sometimes just to get them a shot or spayed or nuetured. So in essence I would be FOR animal /pet health care.
