Sick Dog?
my dog is sick…i think. she wont eat, she wont drink, and she wont even lick your face(for her thats a big deal she always licks your face) but all in all she loks the same… what could be wrong, she looks skinnier towards her rear area and when she walks, its real slow like and she just wont do anythingand when she breathes its kind of slow and jittery… does anybody know what could be wrong and what i should do?
shes starting to nibble her ham we gave her and i need to know how much would it cost for a vet to tell me whats wrong and what to treat her with
we cant really afford to take her to the vet so if there is anything i can give her to make her better i would be happy to know anything you know

Yes she’s sick, and she needs to see a vet. There’s a lot that could be going on. Arthritis pain, heartworm or other parasites, cancer…. I could probably list 2 dozen possibilities.

To the asker: NOBODY can tell you what is wrong or even blindly guess what to do for her without examining it. Call the vets in your area and ask what an exam costs. Tell them up front you do not have a lot of money and ask for an itemized estimate for services before they are performed. The exam will let the vet prioritize what tests would be advised. We don’t have to do a full workup all at once. We’re more than willing to work with you and your budget to help your dog, IF you let us know finances are a concern up front. If you can’t afford "ideal" treatment, sometimes there’s alternative therapies that can be tried. Don’t automatically assume you’re going to end up spending thousands of dollars.
You should take her to the vet.

OK…my dog was sick the other day but now she is better but we just took her to the vet and gave her some over the counter meds that the doctor said we could give her
if shes a puppy it could be parvo so its best to take her to the vet ASAP
How old is your dog? Puppy? Check for parvoe. First worm your dog, and if it doesnt improve, then get parvoe tested.

I would take her to the vet.. Anymore there are so many things that can happen to make a dog sick. It sounds like worms but my dog did the same thing not to long ago. He hadn’t eaten one of his toys. Either way for an animal to loose weight and different attitude, something is wrong.
You said it yourself. Your dog is sick. She needs to see a vet. Sounds like it could be something serious if she is losing weight too so get her to a vet now and find out for sure. No one here can tell you what is wrong nor make her better.

EDIT: If your finances are pretty low, your Vet will still (or should) still look at your animal. They can discuss a budgeting payment system, or fill in some assistance forms for you, so you’ll pay a basic amount. The amount for consultation can differ with every Vet, so my advice is to phone your nearest Practice first thing in the morning, and talk with the receptionist who will be happy to discuss things with you, and maybe make you feel easier about the need to take him/her to be – at least – looked at.
