we have already spoken to the vet, who just says don’t feed her for a day then give her chicken & rice. BUt the last time we did this it obviously did NOT work.

I thought bankruptcy very expensive, last resort, wiped out bills, filer kept their belongings.. I never tried to file bankruptcy or thought of it, nor needed to, nor looked into b4 the past few yrs. Once again, I was lied to, it was not explained. I continued to have erroneous beliefs of it here, not elightened deliberately, to destory. rob me Forced to try it. Cancelled it. I wanted to keep my things. My kids did not They got almost all I had b4 here,, expensive furnitue I paid cash for b4 here, when massive assaults were made on me personally, I bought my furniture &made down payments fromyrs of savings, working in work which ruined my legs, teeth, harmed my lungs, & harmed my guts., placed me on odd shifts, nights yrs, no personal life or hope of it there. Not one of those people I knew so long, called, came to visit, or expressed concern or caring when it went to hell in a handbasket again,not DUE TO MY BAD ACTIONS due their scams &schemes. I went to the gym a long time, did my work well. I did not file bankruptcy there, nor try to. Never mentioned it for myself or thought of it. I had not never consulted a lawyer re it b4 in my life. It seemed a disgrace, to me, personally,because i was employable. I worked really hard there to build a perfect credit rating, for yrs. I got my career back, bought a home, was paying on it. etc., had a life of sorts.. Even felt secure enough to have pets. not planning to retire OR move here for yrs. I did not realize he was threatening to give away everything I had, just being mean. i HAD NO STD. That thinking. one kept their things, is why I said if planning to file bankruptcy we would have gone out & bought new things to replace all that was broke. Had no intention of doing it.

They evidently were focused on this subject, gloating, just waiting, watching while I decorated my home, paid 4 for new furniture, from yrs of savings. Plotting to make a fool of me, take all I had for nothing. My belongings were not borrowed for a while: that is not what that song means, it means you cannot take material things with you when you DIE.

They did it, same group. Same M.O. $$ fast buck for them. Say "You are so smart, you know so much, you have the education. You think you can function without us, you are cocky, we will show you, you think you are going to escape." They did it. They took everything I built away from me, my credit rating, all but my life, maybe that. i mentioned marrying, had no BF. Not gay. The car accident, did not permanently disable me. Telling horrible lies on me, got me an attempted murder & batterings. The gas expense in for gasoline for the vehicles only. My husband has a long commute to work. I am wondering if it would be worth it for him to find a job closer to home. He loves his job though.

Yes there are hours where I could get a job, and my husband can probably work weekends.

I don’t know if my husband and I can get by on one car. I guess I have to figure out how we could make it work. He has his job and I have my school, tutoring, & babysitting. I guess the tutoring and babysitting doesn’t bring in that much money and maybe I can carpool to school. I have to figure it out.

Yes, I am paying for school with student loans. My degree going to be in speech and language pathology, a field that pays well and is in somewhat high demand. I have to complete six years of school and I am on my fourth year. It might be a good idea to take a semester off to work and save up some money.

I dont know anything about dog colds & flu’s and I have a couple of hours till we go off to the vet so I thought I may seek some info??

Do dogs need to be kept warm like humans do when they’re sick? like does he need a blanket or a jumper?

Any info would be great – especially so i know what to ask the vet etc…

Thanks so much Puppy Mommy. I amazes me that people WOULDNT take their dog to the vet… He had his kennel couch vaccine a month ago, so if its that hopefully because of the vaccine it wont be too hard to cure… He’s also weeping from the eyes which is worrying me. He’s a maltese cross but has never weeped from the eyes before (unlike my other dog who does). I noticed this morning that the weeping was quite bad so i wiped his eyes down with some warm salty water… He seems ok, just depressed and not like his usual self… I’m sure its nothing too serious but as a dog mummy i know when there’s something wrong with my bub…

Sorry, but i could never give my dog human medicine unless I was instructed to by a vet… It just doesnt seem right to me – i’m not a doctor or a vet so I cant treat him myself without knowing exactly what the problem is.

He’s a maltese cross.. 1.5 yrs old… He’s always lively and happy and bouncing around but he just wants to lay around now… Its hard to give more info, cos its like, you now when you KNOW ur dog, and u can just tell something doesnt seem right? Its like that.. He is coughing and his nose is running, but the mucus is thin and clear not yellow and gluggy..

We have returned from the ver and Frankie had conjunctivitis and canine flu. He’s on some doggy medicine and had some ointment for his eye, but he will be fine. Thanks guys!

(Lately, all I’ve been getting is very rude responses on Yahoo Answers from immature young men, to middle-aged overgrown teenage men, robots who always wanna quote law books or something along those lines, lazy people who hate reading anything that’s longer then two words, non-Amercians who turn every question I ask into something related to their hate for my country, & finally just typical everyday jerks. I’m really hoping that won’t be the case here.)

My baby cat Toby is about to turn 15. That’s 80 in cat years for those of you who don’t know. In our family, 15 is the Devil’s age for our pets because we lost three of them in the past all at different times at that age at the time, & none have lived beyond it.

Our cat Tiger was around that age when he died, our dog Buddy was also around that age, & our other cat Casey actually ran away, & even though she seemed to be doing okay, she very well may have ran away to die. But I don’t know. She had ran away before, & came back. We never knew what became of her.

All three of those pets showed some signs before their deaths. Toby, as of right now, thank goodness, still looks & acts exactly the same. Nothing in his diet has changed, he’s been living off kitten chow his whole life, & he doesn’t like anything else. He loves water, & drinks a lot of it. He’s an inside cat, & he gets loads of love & attention from me.

I’m a very lonely 26-year old, pushing 27-year old young man, & my Toby means everything to me. I’ve had him since I was 11-years old, pushing 12. He’s apart of me, & I know I will lose him one day. I wish I could die with him. But anyhow, if I think or type about it too much about losing him, I’ll get very, very upset. so I’ll just get to my point:

I plan to take him to the vet for a check-up soon, but can anyone else here recommend anything else I can do to help him? I’ve read some cats living to be as old as twenty, & older, & I need my Toby to be one of those cats.
