I feed my dog cat food.He is a small 11 pound toy fox terrier.everyone keeps telling me on yahoo answers that im posioning him!What is the cat food really doing to him.hes been eationg it for 5 years,and he is as happy and heathy as ever!when he was little we bought him EXPENCIVE special dog food,and he always ate my cats food and hated the dog food.we even tried wet food and he only ate a few bites of it!

can you please tell me whats so wrong with feeding him cat food?Please no mean answers…..im so sick of those.

My oldest cat in the house is now 7 years old. I have 4 indoors right now. Up until about 6 months ago, they ate purina cat chow. After doing my homework and realizing how bad there food was and dry on top of it I changed. I changed to innova dry food and they were having no parts of it and actually my one cat landed in the emergency hospital because of it. To rich I guess. I switced to wellness wet food. Than I switched to chicken soup lite cause I wanted less of a calorie intake for them. As soon as I heard about the second recall I witched to innova wet food. Cats did well, gained weight again and than decided to go off there food. Bored I guess so as frustrated as I am, I said F-it and bought there old wet food to just get them eating again which is Friskies. They begin eating but one. As soon as my one sensitive cat smells wet food he runs. I just took him to the vets and hes fine. I gave him a handful of very bad dry fod for the cats outside and he ate it.
He wants dry food. Do you think my cats want there crappy food back cause they are so used to it there whole lives. They have all been with me since birth. Should I go back??? Remember good dry put my cat in the hospital and this was all gradual changes, I’m not dumb. I’m sick of all these changes and so are they. I want whats best for them even though I know there old food wasnt but least they ate everyday

I have a 5.5 month old samoyed puppy. She is fairly well trained, although a bit stubborn, and plays very well with other dogs. She also loves all people. Next week we are going to a friend’s house for spring break (only staying one night) and they have two cats. One is a neutered male somewhere between 2 and 6 years old (I’m not sure), and the other is an unspayed female between 1 and 5 years old.
The only time my puppy has seen cats was at the vets office, when she saw them in crates recovering from operations. She barked and growled at them then, so I don’t know how she’ll respond to seeing a normal, alert cat. She does have a hunting instinct toward small animals (she’s killed a few mice in the backyard) but she is still friendly toward very small dogs. The cats have never lived with dogs. Can you please give me some tips on introducing the puppy to the cats? Thanks in advance.
I’d rather not keep them seperated because I eventually plan on getting a cat. Otherwise, thanks for the answers so far!

felv is short for feline leukemia virus. i want another cat, but i also want it to be leukemia-free. so how long do you thing the virus can live outside the cats’ body before completely dying? please help!!!

I understand the importance of canned food but I have one cat who absolutely refuses it and the other will only eat small amounts. ( I feed him Merrick and Wellness)

I also tried Raw food by Healthy Paws but no luck!

As for dry food..

My cats hate Wellness Core which I tried switching them to this week.

They like Iams Healthy Naturals they are currently on but I don’t feel good about feeding them this. ( any thoughts on this food)?

I have other kinds of dry foods I’m willing to try but wanted feedback first before I go out shopping.

I confided my 2 cats to a friend in Liverpool. My cats ripped him tapestry of his wall. Will take my insurance the damage because they are my cats ? Or his insurance because he is given custody of my cats ?

I heard that it’s much better for my dog and cats to be eating all natural foods, but I can’t remember the name of the brand that was recommended to me. I want to switch all my animals (two cats and a dog) over to natural food slowly – first by mixing the two (old and new), then by moving over to only the natural food. The only problem is that I don’t know the best kind of all natural cat and dog food to try. Any suggestions or info? Thanks a million for anything. I’m not sure where to start.

I just got a puppy a couple weeks ago and i already have two cats than are about a year old now. My cats go up to the puppy and watch him while he is asleep. The puppy likes to chase the cats when they run around playing, and i know hes just playing with them but the cats get scared and im trying to get the dog to stop chasing them when their playing, is thier anyway they could be friends?

I have two young kitties and both will be neutered soon and they also need shots and well-kitten care. I’d like to find the insurance that will pay on these expenses for the least premium. I found one that will reimburse me 0 for spay or neuter services, but it would cost me a month to insure both cats. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
