I have a 9 month old yorkshire terrier(female). Lately she hasn’t really been eating her dog food so I have been trying too feed her pieces of cooked chicken and beef, she ate it at first but she would even refuse that sometimes. She is starting to loose weight and it worries me. I looked in her mouth and she has double of all her canine teeth but one, so she has 7 canine teeth. I was wondering what I should do, shouldn’t they have fallen out yet?

We are feeding our Saint bernard and Akita this dog food that was for 35 lbs and they would eat through it in 3 weeks. I want to stay with the organic because our saint has bad allergies. Does any one know of any dog food that they use? I am not closed to feeding raw I just don’tt know how. Any answers would be great!!!
I know all the bad stuff thats in the reg food I have resurched that all out. My only problem is that the good stuff we cant afford, not with three dogs. Our st. is 135lbs, akinta is 85, and alittle mutt that is 25lbs thats alot of food.

I have an 18 lb dog, I bought a 40 lb bag of Costco’s Kirkland Premium Dog food and stored the food in an airtight food contrainer. It is going to take him about 3 months to eat all of that food. How long will the food stay good?
The expiration date is 3/2010

My 7 month old lab puppy is a little food aggresive, but it’s not nessecarily her dog food, but any bone she really enjoys. Like, if you go to take it from her she’ll either go off into her kennel, or bark, sometimes she snaps, but she doesn’t bite, fortunately. I’m sure it’s still food aggression though. Do you have any ideas on how to make her stop this behavior, since we have a lot of young relatives and it doesn’t seem safe, still. My younger brother is terrified when she barks at him.

My dog had diarrhea for a day and a half and we started to feed her chicken and rice.
How many days should I keep her on this?
I’m thinking today and tomorrow on it, then 3rd day add half dog food half chicken rice then the 4th day back to dry dog food. We use Innova by the way if it’s any concern to anyone..
If her stool returns to normal today, should I completely stop next meal?

My dog has been eating people for a little under a year. When I tried to switch him to dog food, he puked after about 5 pieces. The next day it was the same after about 10 pieces.

I have been feeding my 1year old Lab Purina dog chow, but read an Answer yesterday that this was a bad choice. I am also getting a small, terrier mix puppy this weekend and want to start her out on a good food. Any recommendations? Please don’t condemn me for my dog food choice – I know now it was a bad one. I researched it yesterday after seeing the Dogfood analysis link.

I’ve read allot of RAW feeders who say that kibble or bagged dog food is not the best, due to food recalls and such, and that raw food is the best because its a dogs natural diet, but most dog food recalls are due to Salmonella or E.Coli contamination, but RAW food also contains salmonella and e.coli,so why is it that RAW feeders are basically feeding there dog contaminated food, and if that’s okay then I shouldn’t be so concerned when theres another pet food recall, because thousands of people feed there dogs RAW contaminated meat. Please correct me if I’m wrong, and I am not trying to offend anybody in anyway, its just a question that got me thinking:)Thanks in advance to everyone that shares there opinions!!

My dog has been acting lethargic and occasionally vomiting up her dog food all day. I only gave her a small amount of food after she threw up the first time. Every time she vomits her food comes up completely solid. She has thrown up about 7 times since this this morning. Now tonight she is drooling a little bit. I’m taking her to the vet in the morning, there were none open today. I’m just worried what this could be. Does anyone know what is wrong with her?

My kitten eats dog food and my dogs eat the kitten food . We don’t feed it to them purpose it just occasionally happens.
Also my kitten likes dog treats better than her own cat treats . why do they like the opposite food ? Is it harmful to their health?

I have a great dane, a catahoula cur (<another fairly large dog), 2 yorkies and 2 chinese cresteds. My problem lies with the larger dogs. I go through a 50lb bag of dog food every other week-which costs over . Each large dog is eating a tea pitcher full a day. Would they eat less on a different brand, or am I just feeding too much?

I have a dog that has a lot of allergies and I’m having trouble finding a dog food for him. He’s allergic to wheat, corn, soy, dairy, chicken and beef! And of course, it can’t be super expensive? I’m trying one, but it’s for a 40# bag. I’m a nurse so I work about 50hrs/wk so I don’t have time to cook meals for him.

I am going to switch my dog to adult food and want to give her something better than she is on now. I have narrowed it down to Blue Buffalo, Innova and Wellness. Which is the better dog food between the 3?
