My cat is has been sick for months?

Ok so my cat has been coughing, sneezing, her eyes are leaking and she lost lots of weight. The vet has no clue what it could be. The vet game me antibiotics and eye cream for my cat but it hasn’t helped any. I took her to another vet but they said it was just a cold, and gave her more antibiotics.Still hasn’t helped

This all started in early November.

My aunt says it sounds like feline leukemia. Does anybody else have any idea what this is?

what to do with a cat with Feline AIDS?

I know you have to keep him away from other cats that may get infected, but it’s the first "problem" cat I’ll have since my female got Feline Leukemia a few years ago. What would you suggest I do to make sure he’s comfortable?
He’s perfectly fine apart from the illness. I’m not gonna put him down. That’s cruel, he has a long life if he’s treated right.
Excuse me Sophie, but he came into the shelter that I work at like that. His previous owners were the ones to allow him to get that and that’s why I’m adopting him, because he deserves a loving home. Get the full story before you accuse people.

My cat is several months late ?

for his shots. Even though he is completely an indoor cat is he still at risk for feline leukemia or rabies as long as he is not exposed to any other cat? I will be getting his shots soon, but I just can’t afford it until next month.

Anyone have any idea about this?

Thanks.

Blood work shows no signs of whats wrong.?

My cat who is only 6 years old is having a fever of about 105,accompanied with not eating and listlessness, and sleeping alot, this cat is usually very active and has not been sick ever. We have done blood work, xrays, and urine samples, which in turn show nothing is wrong with him, any diseases that are uncommon? He doesn’t have Feline Aids nor any type of feline leukemia, and no intestinal problems, and hasn’t indeisgted anything to our knowlege that has showed up. Please Help.

Feline titer test for leukemia?

My in-laws have 7 cats and most recently took in another stray. They brought the stray to the vet and the vet did some tests on the cat and found out it has feline leukemia. They had all their other cats tested and they came back negative. So they are in a panic about the cats all contracting this disease. They are unwilling to give up the stray cat even if it puts the other cats at risk. So my question is would getting a titer test done tell if the cat’s test came back positive because it has has the disease or maybe been immunized? Thanks for your info!

Is it safe to give cat's raw salmon?

Earlier today I picked up my cat from the vet and the doctor said he had feline leukemia. I have been researching on the internet since then and I found that apparently feeding cats a raw diet may help in fighting leukemia. I wanted to feed him raw salmon that I have in my freezer but I wanted to know if it was safe to give him it first.

I’m worried that my cat will get sick and I won’t know. A year ago I noticed little droplets of blood on the bathroom floor and noticed that she was going to the litter box a LOT. I took her to the vet and the doctor said she had a urinary tract infection. She stayed overnight and he gave her some medicine to clear the infection. He said it was good that I caught it when I did because it would have gotten much worse. Now, I’m worried that something will happen to her and I won’t know.

What if she has an intestinal blockage? What if she gets
feline leukemia or cancer and I don’t know? What if she gets really sick and I don’t notice until its took late? I’m so worried about her because I love her so much.

I have the vets # and an emergency animal clinic # on my fridge. I’ve already driven to the clinic to make sure I know how to get there (just in case)……

How can I get over the fears that she’ll get sick and I won’t find out soon enough?

Just wondering if anyone can tell me what diseases a cat and a dog can pass to one another. I have 2 small rescue litters of kittens that are being isolated from each other and from my other animals. The babies were vet checked today and physically appear healthy but are way too young to be tested for Feline leukemia and those type of diseases. There will definitely not be any cat to cat contact but what can they share with the dog? I didn’t even think to ask the vet directly. Of course, safety is a big issue but the dog can hardly contain himself to take a peek.

Do I need to be 18 to bring my cat to the vet?

My cat seems to have Feline Leukemia and my dad asked if I could bring her to the vet next week. He was concerned that I might not be able to bring my cat there because I am only 17 years old. Maybe its a stupid question, but I was just wondering.
Thanks

My dog is going to die, what should I do?

My dog was acting really bizarre and so I took him to the vet and they diagnosed him with feline leukemia. He is going to die soon. I want to do something nice for him like a funeral/memorial. What do you think?

i have 5 cats with feline leukemia, all still asymptomatic.i also have 2 negative kitties.i keep the felv+ and the negative cats seperated in different parts of the house.i would love to put the negative kitties in a bedroom for a few hours, and let the felv+ guys have access to the living room for a little while.i would remove the climbers, toys dishes and scratching posts of the healthy kitties while the felv cats are there.since it is spread by saliva, urine, biting, blood and giving birth,i assume it would be ok for the cats just to play and walk on furniture?or am i mistaken? the felv cats get plenty of love, but live at the back of the house, where we visit and care for them.i just thought they would enjoy spending time with the family in the living room,a more central location.we would enjoy their company.but i dont want to jeaopardise the healthy cats, who stay in the living room most of the time.is it ok as long as the cats are in no direct contact,or is even walking across the same room bad?im not sure how, since it is a blood and secretion borne virus, not an airborne one like flu? any advice welcome. ps-i rescued the felv+ cats from being pts at the shelter.as long as they remain asymptomatic and enjoy their lives,i will let them have a shot at life, whether short or long.they are all doing well so far.again, the negative and positive cats will never meet,i just want to put the healthy cats in another space briefly and let the felv cats enjoy the living room a little bit each day.

My cat is pooping all over the place?

Sorry.. kind of gross.
But, we found a cat outside not to long ago. We got him tested for feline hiv, and feline leukemia.. I’m sure he was tested for other things. But we got him all his shots too.

But I think that maybe he has a bowel disorder, he’s pooping all over the floor. Sometimes he’ll use the litter box, he knows where it is, but sometimes he just poops wherever. Are there any signs that he might have something wrong?

I know it’s something I should ask my vet but they’re a little off with her diagnosis, I feel, so maybe a few objective opinions would be ok.

My kitten just went through her first heat cycle. It was a nightmare for us both, I think. Me for obvious reasons and her cause she didn’t sleep, eat or drink much for 2 days and even threw up… I felt really bad for her. She did NOT enjoy that.

I will be calling my vet to schedule to spay her but I was wondering if anyone has had an experience with spaying a cat that has minor eye irritations.

She’s had them for a few months, nothing serious but a little discharge and squinting… she also gulps sometimes. Shedoesn’t have a URI (confirmed by the vet) or feline leukemia. My vet suspected herpes but I really doubt it cause it has a lot of other symptoms she doesn’t have.

And if she did, would it be ok to do any surgery like that? It’s not a male cat after all, surgery is a little more complicated.

Any advice would be great. Thanks!
Oh she’s about 10-11 months old (got her from a shelter so I don’t know for sure).
Ok, in reply, she IS on lysine right now. It doesn’t seem to make a difference for now. Also, she’s been through a round of antibiotics before and it made no difference.

She’s eating well, energetic, playful and overall healthy. Herpes might not manifest as all the symptoms in a given cat but I just doubt it would only show as sporadic eye irritations in the absence of all other symptoms.

As I said ,she was tested for FLV and she doesn’t have it.

I’ll call my vet either way and ask, just wanted to see what people thought, thanks!

Brought a stray cat into the house with my other (12) cats. He was taken to the vet and tested positive for feline leukemia and we had him put down. My other cats have all been vaccinated and are healthy. How long should I wait to take the other cats to the vet to be tested? Every time I hear one of them sneeze now I panic. I have disinfected and thrown away things that could not be washed that the stray cat came in contact with. The stray lived with us for about 3 months and he seemed very healthy. No signs of illness at all. His test results were a shock to us. I am very paranoid about my other cats right now.
