I have a cat I found on my job about 8 months ago. I paid for him to be neutered and declawed also for his shots he was a house cat. One day he became very sick. I took him to the vet rather than to see him die at home I wanted to get the help he needed. The Vet said he had renal failure and he needed anti biotics and a I.V. I thought he would be fine. He indeed came out to be okay but the bill was 0. I don’t have that kind of money. I found the cat when hes was 6 weeks old. I nursed him to health and he had a heart condition according to the Vet. I explained to them I could not afford such a high vet bill. I asked if I could make payments, they said yes but I would have to pay a day until I get him out. I don’t know who to turn to for help. My 4 children miss the cat his name is Jazz. Please send me some info on how to get financial help with my cats bill so I can get him home.

okay,,, a bit of a complicated situation. My fiancee and I lived together in Maryland and 2 months ago he got a job back home in PA. I have been staying in Maryland, showing the house after work, at a job I have worked for the last 2 years. Two months ago, when I found out, I spoke with my boss about the upcoming move. I told them It all depended on when the house sold, so it was difficult to give a date. They put me in for a transfer at 2 stores in the area of where I will be moving. I have heard back from the one store, and they will have an opening in January. Well, living in the house by myself I have very very little money. I can no longer afford to travel back and forth to my job here, and we have a lot of showing requests, that I must be in home for (we have pets and other items in the home so I have to be there) anyway, am hoping the house will sell in a couple of months since the showings are so high. So last month I told them the best I could do was estimate a time to leave, so I picked November 20th. Still no house sale. I have 3 months to transfer to one of the new stores in PA so that my health insurance will be reinstated, but I can’t relocate yet becuase I do not have the finances to put everything in storage so that I can leave the house empty to show. I also do not have any place to stay in PA if I did decide to go there. Am I elligible to collect unemployment insurance until I can move to PA and be transfered to another store in the same company? I do not know if I have really "quit" as I requested to be transferred and my boss had set that in motion, but there will be a gap. I contacted the unemployment office, but am waiting to hear back in the meantime…. any ideas?

I’m looking into breeding Bengal cats for a living. I’ve been doing lots of studying and realize this is no easy task. You don’t buy 2 cats, let them have babies, and consider yourself rich. There’s a ton of care and money put into making the cats happy, trained, entertained, and loved. So far It’s going to cost me ,000 just to get started with shelter, heat, outside kennels, toys, towers, beds, and the cats to breed. The upkeep with vet care, food, flea meds, litter, so on and so forth. This is a JOB. I will be working with these cats and kittens around the clock. I will be training them, loving them, playing with them, taking them for walks, and doing whatever it takes to keep them happy.

So I’m not asking for approval of breeding… I’m not looking to hear how cruel I am. I will only be breeding 3 cats at a time, and only up to 4 times in a total of 2 years. I will not be abusing these animals. They will have babies as if they would in the wild. So No Haters.

Okay so my question – Pet Insurance. I seen a site I can get insurance for 1 cat for a month. What about kittens? Is there some kind of pet insurance for breeders? It’s not like I can get pet insurance for each individual kitten, and then 13 weeks later when it’s time to send them off to their new home, take them off the insurance??

2nd question – What do Kittens need up to 13 weeks of age? What shots will they need? What tests will they need? And how much will all of this cost without insurance?
I’m getting the answers I said I’m not interested in hearing.

My entire life I’ve had a love for animals, especially cats. I took a special interest in Bengals a few years ago. I’ve done a lot of studying. Learning how to properly train. Learning what makes a Bengal top rated. What their habitat is. What they require in every day life, and nutrition. How does anyone have right to tell me I’m not doing this for the right reasons if you don’t know me or my intentions?

I’ve been wanting a career with animals my entire life. I used to want to work with Tigers, until I learned of the smaller exotic cats. Anyone who knows me knows me as the "animal lover".

My Fiance and I had a mouse in the house. Guess where he is now? In a tank with food and warmth until spring so we can send him on his way. (Snow outside right now.) I wouldn’t hurt a fly.

I am looking to get started in babysitting or something like that like pet sitting. I am looking into getting a dog and my mom would pay the fee of the dog as long as I pay for most of everything else it needs. I am going to get pet insurance to help so i dont have to deal with vet bills. I know that no dog is cheap but my mom is going to help out. Right now a get a month for allowance and I feel that isn’t going to be enough for a small dog. I am going to ask my dad if I can do chores at his house for allowance of maybe a month or maybe a little more, but I would like to start babysitting or something to get more because I want to make sure I definitely have enough for my dog. Yesterday me and my dad were talking about what i wanted to be when I grew up. He already knew that I wanted to become a vet, but he’s worried that the job isn’t for me(and he’d rather I’d become something along the lines of a pharmacist).

i know ive already asked this i dont mean to be annoying but i REALLY need to know. I was told by the managers at Petsmart that i will be working with the small animals (i just got the job) and he said the Guinea Pigs sometimes come in with ringworm and i will sometimes have to care for them. How can i keep from bringing it to my 4 dogs and my cat?
they dont sell them like that. They treat them and do not sell them until they are completely healed!

After what happened to my rabbit I feel like I want to have a career that involves helping rabbits.
So how can I become a rabbit veterinarian? A vet who specializes in rabbits.
And where is the best place to become one? Probably near the city? Or more near the country?

Is it harder than just being a vet with knowledge of rabbits?

And are there any other jobs that help rabbits?

I also am curious if there is a job where you neuter animals. Like a neuterist. Is there such a thing?

Well I plan on going into college for more training so I can do something more advanced in being a veterinarian, but I need a job to just get me on my feet and I figured a veterinarian receptionist would be great for me, I am proficient in all Office Technologies skills, but I’m not sure if I need any additional training as far as veterinarian medicine goes.

I not only love animals but as far as I can remember have also gotten along with every one I come in contact with. I was the one who would take care of my neighbors German Shepherd when I was younger because he wouldn’t let anyone else come in the house.

I’ve always wanted to do something with animals, but being a vet means you are with them at their unhappiest moments, so I had decided I did not want to go that route.

I know how to run a small business as I have been working with one for years now, where I have pretty much know and have done everything that is needed on the business end.

So, would it be stupid to leave my job with steady pay and health insurance to go into something I would love but would be risky?

with this new obama care bill that has been forced upon us requires us to buy health care or be fined (if i am correct). and from what i have read, young healthy people are the ones who dont want to buy health care (like me, im in my 20′s).
I dont have health care, and have not had a problem with medical bill as of yet. the few time i have gotten hurt and had an emergency i have been able to make payments to the hospital and doctors who treated me. I do not just take the service and not pay for it. I receive a bill in the mail, and i make payments on it.

Why is paying with cash, check or credit card an option that no one is looking into? why should i have to make a monthly premium payment for health insurance that i might not even use, to an insurance company, when i can just pay for the services i use?? Like i have no problem paying the to go see my family doctor, or making monthly payments to the local ER for broken bone they set?
at one job i had i enroll in there health care plan and had premiums taken out of my check every week. this was money that i could better use to feed my family or put gas im my car. and to top it off i had a max out of pocket i had to pay before my insurance would kick in.

What is the problem people have with me paying for my on health related bills?? i haven’t had any issues of having care refused because i choose to pay cash for services. what i have noticed is that once i contact the billing offices of the doctors and ER’s my bills have been adjusted and the prices on the services actually became a reasonable price. example: once i had a car wreck, and was at first charged about 0 foe a single pack of Tylenol 500mg (like what you get from a first aid kit with 2 pills in it). once i contacted them about the bill and let them know i was making cash payments they readjusted my bill anly charged me like for that pack. (yes that is still over priced) they also lowed the price on many of the other things i was billed for. this bill quickly went from over 00 down to something around 0

and not to long ago i heard someone bring this up on the Michael Savage talk radio show, but they really didn’t explore this option,

This has worked for me for the last 15 plus years and has saved me a ton of money, now maybe when i become older and need medical care more often to ease day to day life i can see me making the choice to buy health insurance, but until i need regular medical care what is wrong with me just paying for the services i need? just me and the doctor. this way i can also shop around for the best price, like lets say i need a pet scan. I have 4 major hospitals in the town i live in. I could inquire about the price differences between the four hospitals and have the scan done at the location offreing the best price for the service.. If more people did this dont you think the cost of these every day services would drop due to computation between them?
I dont care about other peoples costs, all i care about is my son, my wife, and my family members. I will help my family if in need, but i when it comes to every one else, here is what i have to say, "life is hard and unfair, so sorry about your luck" I dont wana be an ass, but what can i say

Why do I settle for things that I know are wrong? Why, when I stand up for my view point, do people take it as I am attacking or criticising? I am tired of worrying about things that are not my responsibility but affect the ones I love negitively.. Finally, how can you buy a crap load of expensive stuff but put your health on hold because you don’t have enough money…even when you DO have health insurance through your job? Why bother even having insurance? Why can’t you "afford" to take your pets to the vet for a check up? Ask yourself why? Don’t ask me why because I know. I care more about my pet’s health than myself. I actually have a therapist. I am only worried because I protect my people because I want them to change for the better. Problem is what I do or say doesn’t matter and I can’t live this way for another 3 or so years. I feel like I am becoming a ball and chain. I will be more consciencious of my own health and I guess my people and animals will suffer on their own from now on. I just don’t want to hear I don’t have enough money to so this and that. I ask for help I do not have to much pride. I am not afraid to admit I am wrong but when I am right and I can do nothing about it is when I just can’t deal with this crap. I was all set for planning to get a cat when I saw the application that asked if my other pets have all their shots. I haven’t been able to pay for my dog’s health in the past because I didn’t have a job. It’s very rare he leaves the house, much less encounter something that could make him sick. Will they reject my application because of this?

I convinced my friend with the chihuahua to spay her dog but she can only afford the low cost spay and neuter vans. She is worried they will not do as good of a job like if she had taken her dog to a vets office.

So, I’m a 17 year old guy and life’s starting to catch up to me a bit. I have a car now (which gets 14 mpg, so it’s pricey…) and I have to pay for gas and car insurance. On top of this, I also have a girlfriend who I regularly go on dates with, which can sometimes cost quite a bit. Due to all of this, I’m definitely thinking that it’s time for me to get a job. A veterinary clinic already called me in and I interviewed with them. I would have been hired, but I can’t work on Saturday, ever. That was the clincher, so I didn’t get the job. I’m under the impression that nearly all retail stores require work on Saturdays, so I’m pretty certain that I won’t be able to get a job at one of those stores. Do any of you have any ideas as to what I could do for work? I’m willing to start my own type of work, and I’ve already attempted getting a yard work service up and running, but no one ever called… Any ideas? I really need help.
