What is a healthy cat food that my cat will like?

My family adopted a cat from a shelter. Shes only a kitten, around five months old. When we adopted her, the people at the shelter gave us a small bag of cat food, which I’m assuming is healthy. The problem is, she doesn’t like it. She refuses to eat it unless shes desperate for food. My mom bought meow mix and she started eating a LOT more often. But I’ve been told that,meow mix is poor as far,as the quality of the food goes. Whats a cat food that is good for her that she will like?

My pet has had one shot of the rabies vaccine. can he still infect me?

my kitten has had the 1st shot of the rabies vaccine and the 2nd booster is due only now. I got a tiny pin point scratch from him. Do i need the rabies shots?
no he has been homebound. And he was given the vaccine about 4 weeks back.

How long until I should get my kitten neutered?

My kitten is just over 14 weeks old and is starting to get very curious about going outside. She has had all the necessary injections but hasn’t been neutered yet. Is it best to keep her in until she is neutered and if so at what age can that be done?

Also, how old are kittens usually when they first come into season? Just wondering whether I have that to look forward to before she can be neutered as well.

How long does a neuter recovery take?
My 6 month old kitten returned from his neuter about 2 days ago and he’s adjusted to e-collar well enough (although i REALLY want to take it off….) He’s already had an accident in the litter box, bumping into furniture, etc….
His incision was surgically glued and so far, no infections.
Typically, how long is the recovery period for a neutered young cat?

What do Kittens need from the Vet their first 13 weeks? Also, I need info on Pet Insurance! (Breeding)?

I’m looking into breeding Bengal cats for a living. I’ve been doing lots of studying and realize this is no easy task. You don’t buy 2 cats, let them have babies, and consider yourself rich. There’s a ton of care and money put into making the cats happy, trained, entertained, and loved. So far It’s going to cost me ,000 just to get started with shelter, heat, outside kennels, toys, towers, beds, and the cats to breed. The upkeep with vet care, food, flea meds, litter, so on and so forth. This is a JOB. I will be working with these cats and kittens around the clock. I will be training them, loving them, playing with them, taking them for walks, and doing whatever it takes to keep them happy.

So I’m not asking for approval of breeding… I’m not looking to hear how cruel I am. I will only be breeding 3 cats at a time, and only up to 4 times in a total of 2 years. I will not be abusing these animals. They will have babies as if they would in the wild. So No Haters.

Okay so my question – Pet Insurance. I seen a site I can get insurance for 1 cat for a month. What about kittens? Is there some kind of pet insurance for breeders? It’s not like I can get pet insurance for each individual kitten, and then 13 weeks later when it’s time to send them off to their new home, take them off the insurance??

2nd question – What do Kittens need up to 13 weeks of age? What shots will they need? What tests will they need? And how much will all of this cost without insurance?
I’m getting the answers I said I’m not interested in hearing.

My entire life I’ve had a love for animals, especially cats. I took a special interest in Bengals a few years ago. I’ve done a lot of studying. Learning how to properly train. Learning what makes a Bengal top rated. What their habitat is. What they require in every day life, and nutrition. How does anyone have right to tell me I’m not doing this for the right reasons if you don’t know me or my intentions?

I’ve been wanting a career with animals my entire life. I used to want to work with Tigers, until I learned of the smaller exotic cats. Anyone who knows me knows me as the "animal lover".

My Fiance and I had a mouse in the house. Guess where he is now? In a tank with food and warmth until spring so we can send him on his way. (Snow outside right now.) I wouldn’t hurt a fly.

Can domestic rabbits contract feline herpesvirus-1 or feline calicivirus?

I just adopted a new kitten a few days ago that has symptoms of the above. I am taking her to the vet today. However I have rabbits upstairs. (I have tried to keep the kitten contained in one area, however there are children that may not have washed their hands after touching the kitten.) Does anyone know if the rabbits are at risk for getting a feline disease or illness?

not important details:
i never took my bird to the vet for 6 or 7 years so since i have a kitten im thinking about having them start going but im not a rich person. the kitten is weeks and sprained it front paw so unless it gets better in 2 days i have no choice.
the kitten didnt exactly sprain its paw but it jumped down and has a limp now. it drank its krm (kitten replacement milk) and went to sleep.

Got a cat from pet store not a kitten.. a cat :s?

i was walking around in the mall and there was this pet store with … 4 cats… in their display, their youngest was 5 months old ..WTF. No one was buying them cause most ppl want kittens, not cats. Couldnt help but try to help those cats out , so I bought one.. couldnt afford more :s
i’M home right now with this sweet little cat and its quite late and there are no vet offices open at this hour… plus i dont have a car so :s aka screwed.
They showed some documentation and it says that he’s been de-warmed and had 2 vaccinations already… at this day and age, I’m hoping the docs weren’t falsified -.-
They cat is fairly friendly, but more scared to try things than a 12 week old kitten, his back legs seem slightly weak, when he accidentally stepped into a puddle of water in my bathroom, as he was walking away there were imprints of freaking SOAP bubbles oh WTF
He’s kind of got used to my bed and since he’s been in a small confined space for 5 months already I dont want to put him in a crate. Is it safe if the cat sleeps in my bed??? Does he possess any danger to infants (hygienically speaking and what not)? :s

Ways for a 13 year old to make money??? Parents against an allowance.?

Well In need to make 0 dollars by the end of summer so I can adopt this amazing cat named Pepperoni. My parents think that an allowance will spoil me so I can save up like that. They will however pay for food in half, and it has a vet exam, spayed, microchip, flea treatment, and current vaccinations. I have never had a pet bigger than Mocha, my Hamster. What else would it take to care for this kitten? And how do I convince my parents I am responsible enough? How much does pet Insurance cost? Any one have any ideas? Remember Best Answer gets 10 pts. Ill also email you a picture of the cat.
