Yesterday afternoon i took a shower and there was nothing on the left side of my stomach. Then about an hour later i find a deer tick on the side. so i got alcohol wiped it and then pulled it off. There is no bullseye looking thing, it is just like a little rash and sometimes it can be itchy when i think about it. Is this signs of Lyme disease?
Many countries doesn’t accept that chronic Lyme disease is a real medical issue, and therefore the health insurances don’t cover it.
My friend needs help but in the Netherlands, where he lives, he gets none. Alternative medicine costs a fortune. Is the situation better in other countries? He is interested in warmer areas because of his joint problems.
I would very much appreciate some valuable information!
My mom got Lyme disease while she was pregnant with me, and I am 14 now. Is there any way I could have it and not realize it after 14 years?
I give my dog frontline every month, (frontline PLUS) and we gave her part one of the lyme disease shot but now im wondering if frontline plus does the same thing as the lyme disease shot.
I live in NJ
I have the bullseye rash around a tick bite but no other symptoms of Lyme disease. Should I get a blood test?
My question is, if my blood test comes back positive, can I still get pregnant and carry a healthy baby if I hves been diagnosed with Lyme disease? Is this risky?
If I wanted to join the marines infantry would lyme disease, even if the symptoms are gone, make it to where I couldn’t join?
I mean obviously its lower if its the nymph staging sucking your blood, but i just found an adult one on my thigh (and yes im positive its a deer tick)
I think my entomology professor said it was 50% chance of getting lyme disease if the adult is sucking your blood but i cant recall. Anyone know? Thank you.
I live in Rhode Island as well.. I know lyme disease is a problem here so.. yea x.x
I have seen many doctors, GP’s. neuros and infectious disease specialist that all have said there is no Lyme Disease in Tennessee. It took an opthalmologist to find it when I went completely blind for no apparent reason. I have since lost my vision 6 times and so far with the injections and the drops every hour and the drops to keep my eyes dilated I feel fortunate that he was able to save my vision. I just wondered if anyone else here in TN had some of the same problems, ie.. migraines, aches, pains that are excrutiating.
Thanks for any comment you may have.
and please dont tell me lyme disease doesnt xsist. i no it does! i have it and i no what it feels like…i just want 2 no if il have it 4ever
My son was tested for lyme disease today. The doctor is pretty sure that’s what he has because of the rash on his face.
My question is: Don’t ticks put their head in your skin and fill up on blood? I’m sure I would have noticed a tick hanging off of his face, so how would he have contracted it?
For a school paper I must do, I must find a person who has had Lyme disease before. Unfortunately, in my city I have not found anyone. I would appreciate if the people in which the above applies would tell in detail their experience, from the first signs to their cure. As I said, include feelings, emotions, and anything significant. Thank you for your support!
I went to the doc and i have lyme disease, but the rash itches really bad sometimes, is it alright to scratch it or no?
Has anyone ever been tested for lyme disease because they went to the doc’s with most of the symptoms, have the test come back negative only to test positive for it months later???
Wonderful ( eye roll ) , Maryland is where I live so it would figure the doctor’s here are a bunch of morons. My doctor basically blamed my symptoms on being overweight. But lately I’ve started having episodes where I’ll be walking and all of a sudden lose feeling in my right for a few second up to a minute and I end up looking like Im walking with a limp because I have to compensate to being able to use the leg properly. We’re moving in a few weeks and I’ll be sure to go back to the doc’s and demand a better test.
Right leg , sorry. It’s early.
