What pet insurance do you use for your dog and what does it cover? Can you give me the link for it. Also what medication do you use monthly (do you use it monthly or weekly) for heart worm, fleas, ticks, and etc. Also explain what health problems this package covers, and do you have a link for this site also? Please and thank you.
Also I last time I forgot to mention I live in SO. CALIFORNIA, so something available that ships over here. Last time I got this incredible answer, to bad it only delivered to residences in Canada.
*The medication because it makes sure they don’t have/or get fleas, ticks, and heartworms. Or am I thinking about this backwards?
I don’t think we have much ticks around here if I think about it, but we have worms, not A LOT but just enough to get your dog sick.
KiKi: No. The insurance will not cover already existing health problems. But if you got the insurance (one that fits your needs, look through different ones or get referrals) before it would have covered most of it. I advise you to get one before something else rises up.

I am just curious. I only have mine on heartworm medication 6 months out of the year. (May-October)
I’m in Minnesota, so we don’t have mosquitoes in the winter.

I’ve just been told that I have Lyme disease, and I’ve taken my first medication, does anyone know when the symptoms will clear up? Has anyone ever had Lyme disease before?

I have an adopted dog that was tested positive for hearworm and is on medication. My dog is mostly a good dog but some times he changes into a nasty dog that just gets into all kinds of trouble and will grawl at me. I am wondering if any other heartworm positive dog owners find this happens to their dog as well. I wonder if it has something to do with the heartworms making him a little nuts at times. Thanks for any answers from heartworm dog owners.

My dog was prescribed heartworm medication. He took his pill three days ago, and now there are white worms coming out his butt. Also a few months ago he was given a shot for a different type of worm. Are they coming out because of the medication? Is this normal?

I have always given my puppy her heartworm preventative medication. If I miss it this month, will it harm her? Thank you in advance
I wasn’t planning on missing, but I didn’t have a car to get to the vet. Thanks anyways

We took our pup to the vet and as it turns out the vet thinks that he might have distemper. He is a 9wk old english mastiff. The vet is giving him some medication that seems to be helping, but if he doesn’t show any sign of progression he says we should let him go. We’ve only had him for two weeks and we love him very much. We need any kind of advice or information we can get to save Maximus. I’m sure the vet who is currently attending him is knowledgable, but getting a second opinion wouldn’t hurt. Personal experience would help too.

I live in a rural area and have adopted a very wild dog that appeared at my house. I have tamed him a great deal after months of working with him, but it’s impossible to get him into a car to get him to a vet. (He’s a very-very large dog.) So I gave him heartworm medication even though he hasn’t been pre-tested. If he already has heartworms what will the medication do to him?

My dog has kennel cough. She finished her medication 2 days ago but she is still coughing (only when she is not laying down) and still has drainage from her nose. Is it normal for her to be sleeping all day long?

I am interested in adopting a 2 year old Rottweiler that has been treated for heartworm from an animal shelter. If they declare that the dog is healthy, should this still be a serious concern for me? She’s a great dog but I’m not sure if prior heartworm infections are something to be very concerned about. Does exposure to heartworm mean that the dog will have to be on special medication for the rest of her life? Or just the usual preventative medication? Thanks!

I have a Pug puppy who is about 7 months old. She has shots but I want to begin giving her preventative heartworm medication as soon as possible, but I heard something about having to do it before a certain age… Is that true? I think someone told me that I need to start it by 6 months of age… Will it be just as effective if I start now? I’m hoping it’s not true about needing to get it before 6 months… I’m just wondering what the facts are.
Thanks!

I want to get my dog heartworm medication and was wondering, when I go to the vet, do I have to pay extra to get it? I was planning on using 1800petmeds and they require one before I can get Iverhart.
I just got my first dog, if you couldn’t tell. ^__^;
*don’t have insurance yet

My four month old puppy has kennel cough, and we are currently treating him with medication. Can I transfer kennel cough from him to another dog if I play with him, and he coughs on me or licks me and then I play with another dog who licks me and and stuff?
The other dog doesn’t live with me and the ill puppy, but I see the other dog like every other day, and I saw him last night after playing with my puppy with kennel cough.
