Are there any good home remedies for kennel cough?
I took my golden retriever to the vet today and he has kennel cough. Are there any decent (safe) home remedies besides cough medicine for this? I feel weird about giving my dog human cough medicine.

When I look online at what colleges teach aquatic veterinarian medicine, and the only college that comes up is UF but they only have like little programs from my understanding. Can you just go to college specifically for aquatic veterinarian medicine?
Our puppy somehow got into her heartworm medicine and ate 4 of the chewable tablets. She’s about 45lbs and one tablet is for dogs up to 25lbs. She seems to be acting fine but wanted to double check. Also, should she not be given them next month?
Thanks!
My vet did a feline leukemia test on my cat and it barely showed up, so slight it was hard to see. She has lost a lot of weight, but still eats. Her fur looks not as pretty also. But how do i know if she really has it or not. She has watery eyes also, and sneezes, i was given medicine to treat that, but it doesnt seem to go away. Other than that she seems really fine. Im really confused. If anyone knows more about this please help with some info. Im really confused! Thanks!!!
My 18 month old Shih-tzu cross dog was neutered yesterday, May 4th. He takes his heartworm medicine the 5th of each month. Do you guys know if it’s safe to administer it to him today? I was a little too scared the whole day about the process, and impatient to go back to the clinic to pick him up that I totally forgot to ask the vet there. I will call in the morning once they open but wanted to get some insight on here as well. Thank you!
Many countries doesn’t accept that chronic Lyme disease is a real medical issue, and therefore the health insurances don’t cover it.
My friend needs help but in the Netherlands, where he lives, he gets none. Alternative medicine costs a fortune. Is the situation better in other countries? He is interested in warmer areas because of his joint problems.
I would very much appreciate some valuable information!
Since K9 Advantix prevents heartworms, can they be on heartworm medicine as well? They are on Iverheart right now (heartworm medicne), so is it okay to have that and then the extra from k9 advantix?
My puppy has already had both sets of it’s vaccinations from the vet. I was wondering if it were at all POSSIBLE to take care of my pet without any more vet visits, given that there are no emergencies such as the dog being run over by a car or something like that. I’m willing to buy her worm medicine and what not. Just don’t want to buy things from the vet. They’re entirely to expensive.
I knew my rabbit’s leg was not right because it was sticking out. I took him to the vet and found out that he had a broken leg. The only thing the doctor offered was leg surgery to fix it (which would cost 0+), or putting the rabbit down. I would not have my rabbit put down and definitely could not afford to have the surgery. I need to know if the rabbit could survive without surgery. I’d like to know what kind of pain medicine a rabbit could be given to ease its struggle to be better again.
I need one that will cover medicine for frequent urinary track infections cause my kitty is prone to them
I’m worried that my cat will get sick and I won’t know. A year ago I noticed little droplets of blood on the bathroom floor and noticed that she was going to the litter box a LOT. I took her to the vet and the doctor said she had a urinary tract infection. She stayed overnight and he gave her some medicine to clear the infection. He said it was good that I caught it when I did because it would have gotten much worse. Now, I’m worried that something will happen to her and I won’t know.
What if she has an intestinal blockage? What if she gets
feline leukemia or cancer and I don’t know? What if she gets really sick and I don’t notice until its took late? I’m so worried about her because I love her so much.
I have the vets # and an emergency animal clinic # on my fridge. I’ve already driven to the clinic to make sure I know how to get there (just in case)……
How can I get over the fears that she’ll get sick and I won’t find out soon enough?
She has been coughing and sneezing, and has had a stuffy nose and a goopy eye. She had the same thing in January, but we took her to the vet and got her medicine for it and it seemed to go away.
Should I take her to the vet again? I don’t know if I can afford to pay for another visit, and if it’s just a cold should I wait until it goes away or what? I don’t know what to do :// She’s still eating and is energetic.
I am taking medicine for 2 weeks. Also, do I need to stay home from school with Lyme disease?
Just found out yesterday… I was sick as a dog. The sick went away, but the cold stayed, and now my head is congested, and eyes are watery and I can’t properly breathe.
My husband just got out of the military, and we don’t have health insurance yet, so I can’t just call a doctor. We’re moving to Texas tomorrow, so I can get set up there ASAP hopefully… But meanwhile, what is a good medicine to take that is REALLY safe for the baby?
I’ve already had one miscarriage, and I’ll do anything not to risk another, including suffer through the cold/sinus infection if necessary.
What is the best thing to do or take to get some relief here?
My dog had the runs and was vomiting. I took the dog to the vet and he gave him some medicine. The medicine worked great and it cleared up the illness. The only side effect was the dog was panting a little more than normal.
Now I have the same symptoms as the dog. Is it safe to take the same medicine? I don’t have health insurance.
