Does anyone know what that money is used for? I don’t mind paying for my dog’s license, but curious about what it goes towards.
I know a dog that has ringworm. I know the family doesn’t have any money to take it to the vet and neither do I, but if anyone has any tips of how I could treat it cheap? A home remedy? The family would let me help it if I could. They don’t want their dog to suffer..

My Gramma in Law is currently in a nursing home, however, they do allow your pets to come visit, assuming that they have all their shots. Well, my boyfriends Aunt, whom Gramma lived with, won’t take the cat to get his shots and we want to because my daughter gave her a stuffed cat and she was just about in tears because she misses her real kitty so much, and seeing all her roommates pets just make it worse. The horrible thing is that we have no money to do this, but we are gonna try because no one else in the family will do so.

Also, does it hurt a cat if it gets the same vaccinations twice? I think someone said Smokey had all but one shot he needs, but we don’t know where the records are…
Hey…just woke up from amnesia. 57 years old…still working…can get 1000 a month from past (secure) retirement plan…will bump my wife and I up to…75 thousand a year…I dont know…
1)Does that make us in a new tax bracket? and
2)Should I go ahead and get that money…because even if the retirement amount goes up a little each year…what really is the point in waiting, even if I have to pay 300 a month in taxes on it?
3)Can I slip it into some investment that is tax-deferred?
Own a house…no savings…no nothing…a couple of used cars…a nice dog…health insurance…ping pong table…

I feel so guilty that I purchased my Pekingese from a petstore. I can’t stop thinking about it. My mom is a show breeder of boxers so she always raised me to NOT get a puppy from a petstore. I just thought by chance my puppy didn’t come from a puppy mill, even though I really didn’t believe that. After getting his AKC papers I quickly realized that he is for sure from a puppy mill. He was sold to the petstore by the Hunte Corporaton which is a broker for puppy mill puppies. They buy them from the puppy mills and then clean them up and give them vaccinations, then they are sold to petstores. Also, my dog’s mother was only 9 months old at the time of his birth!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just can’t believe I was so ignorant and stupid, to ever buy from a pet store. I love my new dog more than anything. I just keep thinking how my money helped support this horrible industry. I just want to make other people aware of this and please don’t buy from a pe tstore. I knew better, and did it anyway.
Thanks for the words of encouragment. My whole point in stating my question and posting my story was to educate others, so they won’t make the same mistake I did. I hope a lot more people look at this, so they too realize that all pet stores sell puppy mill’s dog. I went to a different mall today and saw their puppies. They have a big sign stating their puppies come from USDA breeders.But guess what? All commerical dog breeders, PUPPY MILLS, have to register with the USDA .What a joke! I’m just spreading the word and my story so nobody else buys from petstores. Thanks for reading.

Do you have a limit of money you would spend caring for your sick dog? Do you have pet health insurance?
Personally, I don’t have health insurance and I would spend about ,000 for my dog’s care. If it was more than ,000, I would probably put the dog down instead of providing the care. If I was rich, the limit would be much higher, of course.
If you say that you have no limit, would you go 0,000 in debt or more to save the life of your dog?

My cat has been drinking excessively and now her litter box is so saturated within a day or two that the clumping cat litter looks like mud. She has now just started losing huge clumps of hair. I know if I take her to the vet that they will want to run lots of expensive tests which I don’t have alot of money for. If someone can help me decifer if this is kidney failure it would be nice. She is over 20 years old and I unfortunately would only bring her in to have her put down if she is really sick.

okay now money is a little tight. I have a bunch of cats (6) and vaccinations are really really expensive. Do i have to vaccinate them? is it a matter of life of death? i mean they are all very healthy .
in the news you hear about dogs getting millions because some old lady dies and leaves it to them. but how does that work. a dog cant spend money. so do they like hire a pet pchyic to tell them what the dog wants to buy or does like a person get the money but they can only spend it on the dog? or how does that work

It’s just suprising to me you don’t have to pay to get a cat licensed since you have to dogs and it’s anouther way for the states to take money from us, it will probably happen some day.
I am looking for a qualified veterinarian who is more interested in the quality of life for my cats than the quantity in his/her bank account. Since declawing is a horrendously cruel act done only for uninformed pet owners and fast money for the vet, I would like to find a vet who refuses to declaw. I want the health and comfort of my cats to come first. If you have a website with a list of such veterinarians, I would really appreciate it. The last vet I went to had just spade a cat and performed 10 amputations - the cat had come back due to infections and not healing from this horrible trauma. I never want to witness such cruelty again on a visit to a vet.
