If so where and how can I get one? I am 19 years old(20 in november). I love animals and have lots of spare time as a part time college student; tips, suggestions, and advice would be great. I would like to have a small Dog walking business to make money for school and also help people who can’t walk their dogs(the elderly for example) as much as they should be walked for a cheap price. I have a cat I found on my job about 8 months ago. I paid for him to be neutered and declawed also for his shots he was a house cat. One day he became very sick. I took him to the vet rather than to see him die at home I wanted to get the help he needed. The Vet said he had renal failure and he needed anti biotics and a I.V. I thought he would be fine. He indeed came out to be okay but the bill was 0. I don’t have that kind of money. I found the cat when hes was 6 weeks old. I nursed him to health and he had a heart condition according to the Vet. I explained to them I could not afford such a high vet bill. I asked if I could make payments, they said yes but I would have to pay a day until I get him out. I don’t know who to turn to for help. My 4 children miss the cat his name is Jazz. Please send me some info on how to get financial help with my cats bill so I can get him home.

I am trying to not spend a fortune on pet flea treatments and heartworm treatments for the dogs. It sucks because I have two 13 lb cats, a 46 lb dog that needs flea treatment and heartworm treatment, and a 5 lb pom/chi puppy that also needs heartworm and flea treatment, so I need somehwere that I dont have to spend a ton of money on. What site is best?
Also, what are the best brand for flea treatment? I like frontline, but what other brand is just as good.

We obtained another dog at pets in the park from a women about 60 or 65 who had health problems. we didnt plan on it, but this dog was so cute i had to pet it. i didnt know the dog was in need of a beetter home with people that could actually take care of her as this old women had failing health, and the puppy was and still is VERY active. so i fall in love with this dog and the women says shes up for adoption and explains her situation. we consider and our first initial thought is that our 6yr old dog wont take to this new one. and we consider it more and the women says handing me the leash ”oh, take her, walk around with her and see how you like her” so we walk around with her and by this point i have fallen in love witrh this dog, so we tell the women all this stuff and whatever and we tell her our dog may not take to her but this women shes practically begging us to take it. so we take it under the presumption that we discussed being a trial on OUR end if our dog takes to her and this women leaves in tears distraught, after more conversation and her friend with some dogs in a stroller that has A SIGN on it saying something like up for adoption on it which we didnt even notice said its for the best and all that crap. long story short, we couldnt get the papers , give any of our info, or leave money cause the women left in tears and wouldnt accept any money. so i fone 2 weeks later her saying were keeping the dog and our dog has taken to her and the women says ” umm sorry that wont be and option” so meanly and we haven’t answered her calls and we licenced the dog under us and the women wants to charge us wirth theft and has filed the dog as stolen. whe found that out when we got a call from a constable who also says that the women told her that the women was at our house to get the dog and she saw the dog get pulled away from the window and the lights go out, when we didnt give her any of our info an she practically abandons the dog with us, we don’t turn our lights on till about 10:00, their is nowhere for the dog to get up and look out the window and if she came to get the dog, and she didnt come to the house. and apparently her failing health is fixed now. we consulted with a lawyer and he thinks this women might be unstable and he says we are in the right, but i just dont know.
Also EVERYONE else asked or said that this women is or sounds crazy
also it may go to court but we would have to do mediation and my parent would have to miss work, and we would lose income and on top of that this women is insane and we cant reason with her. This women also put up a kijiji add (Its taken down now, but can still be seen) and it was 0.00! Proving that this psycho path advertised more then just the sign on the stroller

I live in spain and in a need to earn money I thought I would take dogs in to stay when their owners go on holiday. i have a large fenced garden and other land to excercise the dogs on and they would sleep in the house at night. What other considerations do I need to take? I wasn´t going to have insurance ,so is it comon practise in this situation to get owners to sign a form freeing me of liability? What about vet bills if accidents happen? I wasn´t going to provide food as i feel it is important for the dogs to stay on their own diet. do i need to take a deposit up front and how do I prevent people dumping dogs on me and not coming back for them. Any help will be gratefully recieved.

okay,,, a bit of a complicated situation. My fiancee and I lived together in Maryland and 2 months ago he got a job back home in PA. I have been staying in Maryland, showing the house after work, at a job I have worked for the last 2 years. Two months ago, when I found out, I spoke with my boss about the upcoming move. I told them It all depended on when the house sold, so it was difficult to give a date. They put me in for a transfer at 2 stores in the area of where I will be moving. I have heard back from the one store, and they will have an opening in January. Well, living in the house by myself I have very very little money. I can no longer afford to travel back and forth to my job here, and we have a lot of showing requests, that I must be in home for (we have pets and other items in the home so I have to be there) anyway, am hoping the house will sell in a couple of months since the showings are so high. So last month I told them the best I could do was estimate a time to leave, so I picked November 20th. Still no house sale. I have 3 months to transfer to one of the new stores in PA so that my health insurance will be reinstated, but I can’t relocate yet becuase I do not have the finances to put everything in storage so that I can leave the house empty to show. I also do not have any place to stay in PA if I did decide to go there. Am I elligible to collect unemployment insurance until I can move to PA and be transfered to another store in the same company? I do not know if I have really "quit" as I requested to be transferred and my boss had set that in motion, but there will be a gap. I contacted the unemployment office, but am waiting to hear back in the meantime…. any ideas?

I want a good brand that will be a steady option so it can be out of my mind and simple. I do not have time for any raw food diets or any of that. I am buying canned food for my cat, please do not post anything about any other options. The decision is between quality/health, convenience, and price. I am not willing to spend large amounts of money on my cat. I am currently debating between Purina Frisky’s brand, Iams, and Hill’s Science diet. Looking at the ingredients, all 3 seem to have the same quality, but Frisky’s is cheaper. I do not know if there is any factor that I am missing, please help me. Also, please note that I am judging by convenience. Most likely the pet food that will win is the one that is at the store I shop for groceries. Please help me, and thanks!

I was moving from MA to MN and wanted to find a new home for Chloe my cat. My ex wanted to keep Chloe so she wouldn’t have to go to a strange place. Six months later Chloe is acting up with Luke, the 15 year old cat that is my ex’s. Chloe was brought to the vet for tests to see what is wrong with her. (she is two now)
My ex wants me to give *courtesy* money for the vet bill. Any amount of the 0 I want to pay. What do you say I should do? I feel the ex is not going to put this toward the vet and let that bill go for now. She doesn’t have a lot of money but shops on ebay for posters and t-shirts from her favorite singer. I believe that is where the money will go to. What do you think? I never would have brought Chloe to the vet for doing what 2 year old cats do.

I have a 5 yr old Boxer who has skin problems (hot spots, bumps, rashes, etc) I currently feed him Calf. Natural dry food and was thinking of switching to a raw food diet. I know it’s more money, but will it help with his skin probs? I have been to a pet allergist already and they seem to think it’s an allergy to chicken, but who knows. I have a 2 year old german shepherd. He has been sick for close to a year from that dog food poisoning. We spent 00 to try to fix the problem. He got better for a while but then got sick again. He has done that 4 times now. We took him in for a ultrasound and he had really bad liver and kidney damage. He’s still really hyper and acts like he’s not sick but he obviously is. Do you think he will ever get better?
Where do you think we spent the 00. Been to 3 different vets and none of them where worth a damn. They just wanted to rob us of our money.

I have some plastic plants in my aquarium right now and I have been reading up the benefits of real plants. I was wondering, although I plan on buying some from my local pet store, what are some plants, if any, that I could find outside that would be good in my aquarium? If I happen to find any good plants (taken from the suggestions I recieve from other Yahoo Answers users), what should I do to make sure they are completely sanitary and wont jeopardize my fish’s health in any way? I live in Southern Florida, if that helps any. I would like to know, partly out of curiousity, and partly for the fact that I don’t want to spend money on something I can find right in my backyard.
