Ok, so I know irobot roombas are great for pet hair and dirt clean up, but what about when it ventures into my bathroom and finds all my long hair (it goes to my lower back). Fromn previous experience with standard bag/bagless vacuums, they would always get stuck and jammed with my long hair wrapped around the roatating brush. Will a roomba have this problem as well? I have collected hair from my two long-haired dogs. I’ve heard they both have the right type of hair to be spun. (One is a Great Pyrenees and the other is a Bichon-type breed similar to a Bolognese.)

I collected the hair with the intention of having someone else spin it but have since decided to give it a try with a drop spindle.

I have a few questions if anyone has experience with spinning..

If I’m hand carding with carding brushes how do I get the really long roving? I’m not sure how I get from the little fat bunch from what comes off my carding brushes to a super long length of roving.

Also, am I supposed to "set" my skein of single spun yarn right after it’s spun AND after I ply it with another single spun yarn?

One more question, when spinning pet hair should I ply it with another fiber or is it ok if I spin two singles of pet hair together?

I realize not alot of people have the knowledge base of doing this so I may not get many replies but I’m having a hard time finding resources to answer my questions so any websites which would answer my questions would be really helpful as well since I haven’t been able to find any.
