My current vacuum has trouble handling all the hair my dogs leave behind so I’m looking for a new one. It seems every company (Bissell, Dyson, Eureka, Hoover, Oreck, etc.,etc.) has some pet hair miracle vac. Is it all hype or does one vacuum really stand out?

I don’t want anything super expensive. I have some carpet and some wood floor that gets covered in pet hair. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good vacuum cleaner for this?

I ordered Top Performance pet hair gels to dye my cat but now my mom wants to dye her dog green for the superbowl and she wants to do it tomorrow! I checked petsmart, they don’t sell it and I can’t order it online because it won’t get here in time! Does anyone know where I can get some pet hair dye in the Phoenix area?

Does anyone have a really good way to remove cat hair/dog hair from upholsterty? I use the Pet hair Magnet and it seems to work pretty well, but takes some effort.

Since cooler weather, I’ve been wearing darker colored clothing. I’m having a problem with lint, dust and pet hair sticking to them. The more I use the lint brush, the more it seems to attract these troublesome items. How can I keep lint off the clothes without using expensive or aerosol chemicals (I know these are commercially available) to control the static which I assume is causing this?

I have 2 cats and a dog, and the furniture is covered in pet hair. Vacuuming helps a little, but I need something to completely get the hair off. I’ve heard of Pledge Fabric Sweepers, are they any good? I’ve also seen another thing similar to the fabric sweepers but I can’t remember what it’s called. Thanks!

It is the kind that doesn’t use the sticky sheets and the lint/pet hair washes off and can be reused over and over. I found a brand called Evercare, but I can only find it online. I have already looked at Wal-mart, Joann’s, and other stores like Kmart and Target online. I am trying to find it in a store because the item only costs -4, but the shipping is around . I’m just wondering if anyone has actually purchased one in a store instead of online. Thanks!

A month ago I bought a new down alternative comforter that was made of mostly polyester. I loved the look of it, but we have a cat who occasionally sleeps on the bed during the day and her hair was so visable and extremely difficult to remove- I tried both lint sticky rollers and one of those Plegde pet hair removers and neither worked to remove her hair.
What kinds of fabrics are the most pet hair resistant?

I have just purchased a 3 story duplex. It has new carpeting on all three levels. My partner is bringing her cat. His favorite activities are breaking things and shedding. I am looking for a cost effective way to maintain and thoroughly clean the carpets, including the pet hair. Mostly, this would be a temporary situation, maybe for a year or two until I have the time and resources to remove the carpeting and have the hardwood restored. In fact, I hate carpeting with its huge potential for unseen mites and dust and dirt. I digress. So essentially the question is, what type of vacuum will give the best results for under 0? In actuality, I would like to spend less than 0. Thanks in advance for the advice, and no getting rid of the cat is not an option.

I have been using bounce sheets in the dryer. And I use the ‘sticky’ lint roller brush , but it isn’t doing a good job of lifting out the pet hair.

Apartment has a lot of carpet so I need something that maneuvers well around corners but is also thin enough to get under furniture and a wand attachment would be nice to get pet hair off of the furniture and to vaccum curtains. Would like it to be lightweight (under 10lbs) and have a long retractable cord or be cordless with a good rechargeable battery and would like to not have to deal with any filters or bags, though if it has a HEPA filter to clean the air that would be fine. Again, it needs to be under 0 and keep good suction with continued use and is good at picking up pet hair.

We no longer have the dog, but there are still massive amounts of hair on all our dark clothes.
Is there anything they make that you can put in the dryer to collect pet hair?

I have a white cat with very fine, silky hair. When he sheds, his hairballs just sort of float around and never eventually clump together on the floor, making it practically impossible to sweep or drymop them up. Furthermore, his hair sticks to ALL my clothes and even those sticky pet hair remover rollers don’t do a wonderful job in getting them off. I’ve even tried duct tape, which sort of works, but is a pain. Any suggestions for these problems?
