What pet insurance do you use for your dog and what does it cover? Can you give me the link for it. Also what medication do you use monthly (do you use it monthly or weekly) for heart worm, fleas, ticks, and etc. Also explain what health problems this package covers, and do you have a link for this site also? Please and thank you.

Also I last time I forgot to mention I live in SO. CALIFORNIA, so something available that ships over here. Last time I got this incredible answer, to bad it only delivered to residences in Canada.
*The medication because it makes sure they don’t have/or get fleas, ticks, and heartworms. Or am I thinking about this backwards?
I don’t think we have much ticks around here if I think about it, but we have worms, not A LOT but just enough to get your dog sick.
KiKi: No. The insurance will not cover already existing health problems. But if you got the insurance (one that fits your needs, look through different ones or get referrals) before it would have covered most of it. I advise you to get one before something else rises up.

What the chances of my dog being insured?

I need a little help. I’m considering buying health insurance for one of my dogs. In the past 4 years, she has racked up to AT LEAST ,000 in emergency vet bills. She has broken two of her legs, swallowed foreign objects, eaten snail poisoning, and has had not one but two tumors removed from her.

Just wondering:
-what are the chances of my dog being insured?
-What is the process of making a claim with a pet health insurance?
-Will I be charged anymore?
-Any good pet insurance you know that will accept my dog, without an extremely high costing claim?
It’s not a matter of if my dog will get injured again, it’s a matter of when.

I find it shocking that there are still several out there who think that this is a good, sound economic policy for a capitalist nation that prides itself on its entrepreneurial spirit. First of all, it was introduced in the 1940s when the Federal Government imposed wage controls and employers, seeking a better class of workers, included subsidized health insurance as an incentive. Now, fast forward six decades later, and we still have this system, which limits an individual’s ability to work for himself, work two part-time jobs, pursue a path that he may really be qualified for, and burdens employers. So, why do so many, particularly conservatives, like this system and want to keep it? Capitalist, rich Australia, Switzerland and Japan figured out the problems with this a long time ago, why can’t we? Employers aren’t responsible for funding your car insurance, renter’s insurance, pet insurance, mortgage insurance, etc., why do we hang on to this enterprise-limiting system?

What breed of dog should i get?

I travel once or twice a month, driving about 2 1/2 hours at a time with rest stops in between. I have an older, established cat that is kind of grumpy, so maybe a dog that doesnt have much interest in cats. I was thinking a small dog because of those circumstances… Also what is a dog that doesnt shed a ton?

I have other questions too. On one side of my house, there is a very intimidating dog that barks, pushes up against the fence etc. and my stepdad is afraid that if we get a dog, it would be scared of that dog, so how can I reassure him or deal with that?

Also, my family isn’t totally well off, so is there anything we can do so that when we get a vet bill, we make sure we can take care of us too? What is pet insurance? And does it work/ What does it cover?

Plus, my stepdad is worried about the grass getting ruined, so we were going to make like a "run" (is what he called it) on the side of the house, so what should we put back there?

What do you think?
Thank you :)

Can someone plz tell me if my prices are accurate?

Ok, so I i have narrowed down my choices of future pets. I believe these are the the cost for the first year (left side) and years after (right side). Are these prices accurate if I buy premium food, pet insurance (which will not cover medical problems, checkups, basic vaccines, trimmings, etc, just the emergencies (up to ,000 worth of covearage) and such, which will cost a month, basic vet bills (check ups, vaccines, etc), toys, treats (bones and treats for dogs), vitamins, transporting materials, live plants (for fish), and all that stuff.

1 Oscar ( in an aqurium to itself, of 50-60 gallons) 0, 0
1 or 2 Hamsters 0, 0 each
Fresh Water aqarium 0, 0
1 or 2 Guanea Pigs 0, 0 each
1 or 2 Cats ,800, 0 each
Marine aqarium ,700, 0
1 or 2 Dogs ,000, ,200 each
A second Oscar (in a separate tank) with a 3rd tank for the fry.

P.S. I will not get all these pets. I will care for all these pets with my (will be continued soon)
own money. I will read a few books before I purchase any pets, and will buy the ones I can afford at as slow pace.
It’s been 40 minutes now. Wht won’t anyone give me an answer, what is it true that nobody keeps track of their finances anymore?

What is a good doggie health insurance company?

Last week I had a health scare with my 3 year old beagle, Tater Salad, and am now almost 00 dollars in the hole! YIKES! I have two beagles, I love them both to distraction and NEVER want to be in a position where I cannot pay for treatment for them. This was a real wake up call- emergency vet care is EXPENSIVE, and it doesn’t matter if your dogs are young and healthy. Anything can happen, and everyone who has a pet should think about what they would do in an emergency situation.

Also, ANY dog can develop bloat- even a 20 lb. beagle. It’s more rare for smaller dogs, but can still happen- if your dog is obsessively swallowing, licking the air, vomiting foam, dry heaving repeatedly, burping, etc. get him to the vet right away. My dog was bloated without the usual "twisted stomach" (thank god), and did not need surgery. If he had, I would be looking at a much steeper bill…

Long story short, for those of you who have gotten pet health insurance- What company would you recommend, and why? Who would you steer clear of? What has been your experience w/your company, and how does it work? Like, do you have to carry an insurance card, or do you get reimbursed? And what exactly does pet insurance cover?

Thanks in advance!

We have insurance for everything else….when will they start offering some kind of insurance that would help pay for car repairs? My SUV is getting on the older side and needs some minor repairs, but like everything without payment up front and in full, I cannot get it done. I wish there was kind of insurance for this. We have pet insurance, why not car mechainc insurance. Do you agree?

Why is health insurance tied to employment?

I don’t get. It was started in the 1940s when the Fed froze wages and employers attracted workers with perks such as health insurance, and now it’s the norm. Why is it still in existence? Employers aren’t responsible for providing car insurance, pet insurance, renter’s insurance, home insurance, etc., why health insurance?
Also, if America is a nation of entrepreneurs and freedom, doesn’t being shackled to a job you may not necessarily like just to get the group benefits rather confining especially if you want to start your own business, work for yourself, work two part-time jobs or freelance? That sounds anti-freedom and anti-capitalistic. Japan is a capitalist society adn they require that all Japanese buy health insurance, therefore, one’s insurance is not tied to one’s job and one can work whatever type of job he wants. I would love to be able to teach at the community college, do some freelance translations on the side and earn what I earned when I worked in an office, but it’s the health insurance costs that are outrageous for people with pre-existing conditions. Do you honestly think that this employment/health insurance situation is good in the long run? Doesn’t it hamper our job mobility?

My plan for this puppy, how do you feel about it?

Long story short, i want to do everything in my power to making the life of this new puppy as good as possible.

i don’t have the puppy yet but will be getting him from a reputable breeder in a few months.

So my petsmart has a:

* Vets office
* Grooming facility
* PetsmartHotel
* Training facility
and its a petsmart so it also has everything i need to own a dog - food, beds, toys etc.

So well since my petsmart has all these things its the only place i need to go to.

So when i get my pup he will be put in puppy classes at the training facility, he is a long coated breed so he will be going to the grooming facility there, if i am going out of town he will stay at the petsmarthotel, he will be getting his vaccinations and be neutered at the vets there.

So i feel very lucky that i have all the things i need right in petsmart.

So anyway to the question this is what my plan is with this dog.

I will only be buying him the highest quality dog food, as soon as he is of age, he will be in puppy classes, he will be going to the petsmart hotel once a week because they have a doggy day camp program where all pups get together to play, he will be walked twice a day, he will be feed 3 times a day till adulthood, he will be taken anywhere possible and i am going to get him use to as many things as i can, he will be crate trained, when he is old enough i will be putting him in agility classes, he will be on heartworm and flea medication year around, he will be bathed once a month, he will be up to date to all his shots and be neutered at 6 months, he will be checked by a vet every 6 months, i will be getting pet insurance for him and he will be groomed every 6 weeks.

So what do you think? is there anything else to add? I want to be ready for this pup and give him the best life possible.

He is a Yorkshire Terrier btw.
