My puppy came back positive with it but besides a stuffy/runny nose he seems to be getting better. He was having breathing problems but they’ve gone away so far.
I have a 5 month old mini pinscher. We got her rabies tags today (her first rabies shot) so she has that tag. Does we need a dog license as well??? What other tags do we need? Does she need to carry all her tags on her collar/harness??

I researched about vaccinations & all that, & i know that even with the new vaccination protocol, some vets still insist on yearly vaccs even though this has proven to be harmful to animals. I gathered a lot of info about vaccs & came up with this:
a dog should get its combo series 3 times in its puppy years..
then again when its 1 years old
then every 3 years from then.
a dog should get its rabies 4-6 months 1 time
then again 1 year later
& then every 3 years later from then.
& a dog should get its bordatella in a series as a puppy
then every year.
is this all correct? id love to hear all your opinions & how you vaccinate your dogs. thanks so much.

My dog is small she is a little maltese/chihuahua mix shes a little smaller then a maltese and weighs 7lbs. Her current bed I got for at walgreens. Its a little to small for her now and she destroyed it since she was a puppy when we first got it. I would liek it to be under and not like the pillow beds she likes it to have sides so she can rest her head on it. Any ideas where I can find one?
After moving into a new house my dog started getting spots on her belly. She is an indoor puppy. I had her fixed about 4 weeks ago and had the vet look at them since there seemed to be more and she was loosing hair. The doctor gave me a lime sulfer dip and said it will dissappear. It has been 4 weeks and it isn’t getting any better! Is there something I can do to my house or to my puppy to get rid of ringworm??
my puppy has a runny nose and im all paranoid and nervous because i want her to be okay, some people suggested it could be distemper but she got her series of shots on wednesday and i was wondering if its standard to get that vaccine? i jsut cant find the paper that says what she got. cuold it just be a regular runny nose? i just asked this question about what a runny stuffy doggy nose could be but i didnt get more then 2 answers and it didnt help that much.
I have a five month old puppy that despite being vaccinated showed some signs of kennel cough. When I took him to the vet he was prescribed sulfadi/ormetop, but he has been on it a week and his cough has gotten worse. I couldn’t find anything on what type of medicine it was so I thought I’d ask.

He had his 12 week distemper shot today. I thought he had is first one but my dad said that kim (the woman who gave the puppy to us)didn’t take him to get his first one. He has been dewormed. What do I do? Should I let my dad take care of this?

I got a puppy from the spca and he has kennel cough. Hes been on medicine for about 2 weeks now but he still coughs. Also by being sick at such a young age cause him to be smaller then normal?
Hes been to the vet thats how i found out it was kennel cough. Hes on antibotics but we ran out two days ago and he doesnt go back till monday
Someone told me you have to go to the courts to get one. Does anyone have anymore info or something different. Also hes a puppy not sure of the age the dog needs to be. Serious answers only thanks!
~ we found a stray and he has been to the vet…. he had bloody poop and bad worms. The vet said that the blood was because of the worms.
~i have had two puppies die from distemper (even though they had all thier shots)
~ i started to notice this puppy twitches some when he is in a deep sleep….like after about 20 -30 mins into his sleep. The other puppies did it when they where just relaxed they didnt have to be asleep.
~ i cant tell if its nothing or if i should be concerned..i dont know anything about this puppy other than he was dumped out in the country…….he seems to be a good dog and in a matter of a week learned a ton of new stuff. I really had not planned on getting a new dog so soon but the vet asures me that keeping him is the rigth thing to do and that my house is fine and wont give him the virus and that if he had it he had it before he came to me. She also told me it would be unlikely to have 3 dogs die from it…
my puppy died two days ago from distemper.
although i know she can’t be replaced, I would like to give another shelter dog the opportunity to have a life in a loving home.
i know the moment will come when i am ready for another dog. I’m just worried about the house. I don’t want to have another situation like the one i just went through.
how long does would it take for any traces of distemper to fade away? How long until it is safe again for a dog to be inside the house?
She is a rat terrier and we’ve had her for over 3 years since she was a puppy. She just suddenly had kennel cough but she wont eat anything, not even the medicine.
If I try to put the medicine in her mouth she refuses and tries to bite me, she usually isn’t aggressive at all.
hi i am a pet owner and well i cant quite aford the vet.i know that their are these kind of vans that park outside stores like K-mart and safeway..i know they are real bacause i went to one like 3 years ago and well i cant really remember what site i went to…to find the info…and the location they used to be at well they dont stop their any more ….so ya giving up my puppy is not an option i love her too much …well if you know anything of this please help me out my puppy needs her shots thanks…..
