My 7 puppies just had their first vaccinations at 8 weeks. A breeder bought the shots and squeezed their neck and injected the 8 in 1. No rabies shot yet. Why is there a lump on every dog? Is this painful to my puppies?

I was petting one of my cats, who is about a years old, and as I was petting her I felt a small lump on her right side. I know this could be a tumor, but she recently got her vaccinations and I’m wondering if it could be a scar, or swelling from her shots. Please help.

She had a ton of vaccinations throughout her first year, and will now just be going once a year unless there is a problem. What vaccinations or boosters should I expect on a year to year basis?

I’m not supporting puppy mills but was just curious if someone were to buy a puppy from pet stores. Could a puppy from a puppy mill live a normal healthy life span if it was given shots, vaccinations, and all the venerability care?

The mobile pet vaccination station is coming into town this week and I’m trying to decide which vaccinations I should give my dog. Since the K9 Flu vaccine is relatively new, I’m looking for more information about it before I decide if I should get it for my dog.
Do you get it for your dog(s)? Is there any important information you think I should know about the vaccine or the K9 flu?

Hi. My sister has a female russian blue cat she has had for less than a year. She has taken her to all of her vaccinations and has never showed any sign of infection. However, recently she took her to the vet to get spay and she came up with an infection meaning she had a high white blood cell count in her blood stream. The cat is well under 1 years old and shows no sign of being sick. She has also been tested for feline leukemia and it came back negative. It seems as if the vet is confused and doesn’t know what is wrong with her. Does anyone know what this may be and if it may be fatal? Please help-Bethy
The cat shows no signs of being sick. When she was turned away for the spaying she was prescribed antibiotics and took them however when her blood was tested again she was worse off. The vet at that point seemed very confused. The cat shows no signs whatsoever of being ill.

i was walking around in the mall and there was this pet store with … 4 cats… in their display, their youngest was 5 months old ..WTF. No one was buying them cause most ppl want kittens, not cats. Couldnt help but try to help those cats out , so I bought one.. couldnt afford more :s
i’M home right now with this sweet little cat and its quite late and there are no vet offices open at this hour… plus i dont have a car so :s aka screwed.
They showed some documentation and it says that he’s been de-warmed and had 2 vaccinations already… at this day and age, I’m hoping the docs weren’t falsified -.-
They cat is fairly friendly, but more scared to try things than a 12 week old kitten, his back legs seem slightly weak, when he accidentally stepped into a puddle of water in my bathroom, as he was walking away there were imprints of freaking SOAP bubbles oh WTF
He’s kind of got used to my bed and since he’s been in a small confined space for 5 months already I dont want to put him in a crate. Is it safe if the cat sleeps in my bed??? Does he possess any danger to infants (hygienically speaking and what not)? :s
(im taking him to the vet first thing in the morning)

I know that between 8 – 14 weeks is the key window to socialize a puppy. But in this time, puppies haven’t had all their vaccinations yet! It’s important for puppies to meet lots of other dogs and people and go to new places, but how on earth are you supposed to do that without a dog getting some virus?

We recently rescued a dog from near a dumpster where my partner works. She’s a beagle/pit mix, and she’s as sweet as can be. We’re looking at taking her in for her vaccinations, as she had no tags when we found her on her collar indicating she had her rabies or anything else. Will it harm her if she has in fact had the vaccinations before to get them for her again? I want to make sure she is safe, but not if it is going to pose a health risk.

Well In need to make 0 dollars by the end of summer so I can adopt this amazing cat named Pepperoni. My parents think that an allowance will spoil me so I can save up like that. They will however pay for food in half, and it has a vet exam, spayed, microchip, flea treatment, and current vaccinations. I have never had a pet bigger than Mocha, my Hamster. What else would it take to care for this kitten? And how do I convince my parents I am responsible enough? How much does pet Insurance cost? Any one have any ideas? Remember Best Answer gets 10 pts. Ill also email you a picture of the cat.

I recently adopted a 3 yr. old Beagle/Dachshund mix from the Humane Society and was never informed whether or not he received any vaccinations previously or while he was there. I’m a first time dog owner so I’m a little lost on what is necessary and what isn’t (don’t want to end up paying for something I don’t need).
Where would be a safe place to start?
