What is a good brand/type of Invisible fence?

I have a great dane who is almost a year old, and we want to install an Invisible fence for her in our yard. I don’t know much about them, and was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on what brands are good, what is the best wire type, etc. I’m clueless and I want to get something that will work best on her, especially when she is full grown at 150 lbs. Thanks in advance!

I too, have a Great Dane and the invisible fences do not work unless you have a more than willing spouse help you with training him to stay inside the fence. We also had to use a shock collar, which we did not like to do to him.
Is the invisible fence your only option?
None. I don’t think they work, and they do nothing to keep things out of your yard. Get a real fence.
I agree with Amanda. I have had no luck with invisible fences and it was just a waste of money. My Malamute didn’t mind the shock at all. Even on the slim chance it does work for your dog, it won’t keep other animals from coming in.
Invisible fences can short out and then you have NO fence. It also does nothing to keep other dogs off of your property.
I have heard very mixed reviews from people I know that have them – most have since put in real fences.
