What is the best college in California to major in Veterinarian?

I want to major in Veterinarian and I need to find a really good college for this. Where is a good college to major in Veterinarian? PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION! I dont want to be leaving with my parents, depending on them for money!

First — Vet programs are graduate programs — so you need to get a bachelor’s degree first. Since Vet schools are very selective, you should try to go to the best undergraduate school possible.
Second — there are only 28 Vet schools in the country (including one that just opened). The link below will give you the list of schools. Two are in California. UC Davis is well established. I believe that Western is the new one. Since there are only 28 schools — all are excellent. Most have residency requirements and only accept a few students who do not reside in the states they cover. This means that most people only have one or two schools that they can apply to. It is much harder to get into veterinary school than into medical school. I actually know someone who became a MD because he could not get into Vet school.
